Brilliant Apartments with Stunnung Views
Just returned from holiday at Yakinthos Apartments on Lesvos it was lovely with stunning views and the owners especially their daughter who looks after the accomodation were brilliant nothing too much trouble the accomondation was spacious and spotless the swimming pool was fantastic as were the surrounding gardens .....We would return again. The only issue it is on top of a hill so need to be able bodied to walk to the beach which is 10 - 15 mins walk away returning uphill maybe a car would be an advantage but we would recommend these apartments

Lovely apartments and lovely host
Lovely spacious apartments everything you could possibly need. The views are breathtaking. Ioianna our host was so helpful nothing was to much for her always asking if everything was ok. I would like to return with my whole family next year as I know they would love it and also they would love the pool. Thank you for a lovely stay. I would recommend a car

Great holiday in Anaxos, Lesvos
Recently returned from two week Jet2 holiday to Anaxos, Lesvos staying at the Yakinthos Garden Apartments, in a two bedroomed ground floor apartment. Having read recent reviews which weren't very complimentary we were expecting basic accommodation in a poor condition. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Having arrived at midnight we were met by Johanna, the owners daughter, who manages the complex. She was very welcoming and offered two ways to get to our apartment one by steps and another way without steps at all. We were taken in and show around and asked for sight of our passport (which is a legal requirement) and a photo was taken. We asked about the tourist tax and was told it could be paid the following morning. The apartment was spotless, well furnished and equipped. Yes, the shower is a fitting over the bath, which is not new, it had a folding shower screen to avoid a wet bathroom floor. Less able bodied may find it difficult to get in and out.
During our stay we had beds and towels changed every three days and the apartments were cleaned 6 out of 7 days each week. All basic kitchen equipment was provided and was clean.
There is a washing machine in the bathroom and Johanna will show you how to use it as the instructions are in Greek. Might be worth taking washing pods with you if you intend to use it. There is a drying rack on the patio with pegs provided and a bowl to carry your clothes in.
The pool area is lovely and is close to the bar area and is accessed by three steps, Sunbeds are available with parasols. The pool is shallow in some areas, perfect for children. The steps are removed when the pool is being cleaned.
The apartments are 800 metres down hill to the village. 150 metres to the bakery and further on to the nearest supermarket followed by two restaurants and a bar. Opposite the bakery is the road to the beach (1.2 km from the appointments). If you have walking difficulties these may not be the best place for you to stay in Anaxos. Mobility scooters are available for hire in the village. The apartments are placed between Anaxos and Petra. We walked into Petra, having spent the day there did a supermarket shop and took a taxi back (7 euros).
We had a great stay and would definitely book these apartments again on a future visit.
Anaxos is a wonderful place to stay, the people are incredibly welcoming and genuinely want you to have the best holiday. Use all of the restaurants, each have their specialities,and are grateful for your custom. The sunbeds on the beach are provided for the customers if you purchase drinks, snacks/food and you can use their toilets.

Yakinthos gardens.
Having read a couple of reviews before coming to yakinthos, I was a little anxious. However on arrival, I’m pleased to say my concerns were unfounded.
Anna met us at the gate, walked us through to the bar areas where we met mama and other family members and were made to feel welcome.
Yakinthos is nicely laid out and everything was explained in detail.
It is ideally situated between Petra and anaxos and easily walkable for able bodied people.
The lady proprietor wasn’t rude as previously reported but her language skills are not good and she lacks the confidence to try. Once engaged, she gets over this and can hold a decent conversation.
The daughter Anna is incredibly helpful and her English is great.
The bins were emptied daily. Sheets changed more frequently than other places in Greece. Views are stunning. Requested extra pillows and received them that day.

Don't do that.
If you like dirty apartments (with plenty of traces of use from the previous occupants) and if you like to be barked at by the owner and don't mind being confronted with a last minute bill about so-called damages, then this compex is for you. If not, book something else
