Holiday dinner

Best food in Sitia! Great view and excellent service! Gina was very nice and profi! Prices are accessible and the ambient is very relaxing and chill! The dishes are generous and tasty!

Seek politeness, it's worth it!

We stayed only one night of the 4 we had reserved. The original room had 2 cockroaches and we stayed in another one recommended by the owner.
He demanded all-day payment but we refused. We paid for one night and left. He chased us out by saying "go away," "go away."
Shame, shame, behavior outside of Cretan hospitality.

Nice house, small room - nify bathroom

We stayed for one night in May 2019. The outside of the house did match what we saw when we did the reservation. The room (ground floor) 2nd from the entrance, did however not match the pictures we saw while booking.
It was somehow dark - new painting needed desperately, two old single beds and no bed table.
The bathroom was really small and a bad odor came up from the shower. We bought some cleaner with lemon flavour in order to get rid of it.
The night itselt was pretty quite till approx 08:00 when the children went to school.
On day of departure we had a look to an other room which was open - looke better - we can't judge the bathroom.

Stranded in hidden oasis

We were actually traveling to Ieropetra, but because of a large fire to the east of Myrtos, we were stranded in Myrtos because most of the roads were blocked and we did not want to take a 50km+ detour. We walked around the small quiet town (particularly in low-season) and noted this very nice apartment. However, no-one else was there. Luckily there was a phone number and we could explain that we were quickly looking for a room to stay for one night. A few minutes later a lovely old lady (Maria) appeared and gave us an extremely warm welcome. She showed us all the rooms and explained how everything worked and made us feel very comfortable. Due to the fire, there was no electricity which made the place even more romantic. Luckily, Maria helped us getting some candles. We then had a perfect fresh oven pizza at the seaside. The next morning the power was back on (incl. wifi, airconditioning, refrigerator, water boiler, etc.), but Myrtos remained as quiet and calm as it was before. Nicest town that we saw in the south of the island. Would certainly go back one day.

Traditional Cretan Rooms

Situated in a small square in the village of Myrtos opposite a small church. There are five rooms, (double and twin) 3 are situated on the ground floor and two rooms on the upper level. All rooms have a fridge, air conditioning (payable locally) and a bathroom. On the upper floor there is a communal kitchen. Maria, the Greek lady who owns the rooms and is in her eighties now, oversees the running of the property. The rooms are clean and in traditional style with traditional lace curtains at the windows, and wooden shutters. 2 minutes from the beach at Myrtos which is shingle, and the promenade with its Tavernas and Restaurants. Myrtos is a quiet village, there are no discos and those looking for nightlife should look elsewhere. Myrtos is peaceful and ideal for thos looking for a relaxing holiday. Please note there is no ATM machine, Bank or Chemist in Myrtos. We return to these rooms twice a year and have never been disappointed.
