Great Stay in Crete, Really Top Owner!!!

Family stay in Crete in September, really a great time, very cozy and comfortable hotel with the Owner and all the staff who make the difference, offering the customer really excellent quality service, making him feel at home.
Mostly typical Greek meals very good but the menu also offers much more, everything great, hotel a stone's throw from the clean beach and with beautiful sea, you will find cheap sunbeds.
A nice holiday in Crete, we recommend the stay and meals at this property

Accommodation to avoid

We were very disappointed with this property. We rented a suite, but it was outdated. The beds were not comfortable, the mattresses had a bad smell, there was a small sofa a very hard and surrounded place. The hosts were uncourteous and some did not speak English. The shower water was pouring into the bathroom. The towels were not enough to clean up the excess water, but it was impossible to have more. In fact, the towels were changed only every two days and they were inspected. If they were dirty, we were threatened with taking them on. When we went after two days to change them, the owner refused to give us back four when we were four people living in the suite... There was no shower product, no soap, ... We had to go to the reception to ask for more toilet paper (when we arrived, there was only half a roll for a family of four for a 5-day stay). Internet access was not available in the rooms. In short, we do not recommend this accommodation at all. Besides, I slide here photos to show you the difference between images on the internet and what is real. It is far from the dream presented in their description.

Great for pre- or post-flight stay

Well, we wouldn't want to stay here as a family for our whole holiday because the location is very close to the airport and a road with quite a traffic volume (both causing a higher noise level), the bathroom was rather small (we stayed at suite 108) and the beds weren't the most comfortable. BUT: considering the good value for money (you can't expect 5 star luxury for less than 100 EUR a night), the proximity to the airport to catch a flight, the free parking, the excellent restaurant, etc. it is still a recommendation for the night after arrivel or the one before departure...

Great Experience In Crete at Anemos Suites

The hotel is nicely situated near the bus stop and about a pitching edge away from the beach. We met this gentleman Krisos (hoping that I didn't butcher his name). He is the nicest person we met in Crete and very helpful at the hotel. He is not only the waiter, buss boy, he is also the handy man and good entertainer.
The room was very clean and the food at the restaurant was great!

unsafe for single women

The hotel itself was fine. I built a positive rapport with the hotel owner. On the last day of my trip, Michalis asked if I could drop his employee off at the airport, as I was going there anyway. I agreed.
At 11pm, Michalis left, and the employee asked if we could walk to the mini market before heading out. He tricked me and walked us towards the pitch black beach, away from the street and market.
He grabbed my wrist tightly and dragged me. With my free hand, I pointed at my phone map. He yelled, “no, stop! Put your phone away!” panickedly.
He dragged me to an edge where the sand dropped down steeply towards the shore. I yanked my arm from his grip and screamed at him to leave me alone. He followed me to the parking lot and still asked for a ride.
Michalis never followed up with me or asked if I was okay, despite me telling him his employee tried to kidnap me to a dark area.
DO NOT recommend for single women, he doesn’t care for women’s safety.
