Stay at Renovated Palm Beach Resort
From 17-31 March 2026 I was at the renovated Palm Beach Resort. In the old hotel I had been several times. I was very curious about the result of the renovation beforehand. From the arrival trying to discover where and how it had changed. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were hugely changed: air conditioning, wifi, fridge. The setup is much broader. Breakfast buffet is much better and spacious. Very nice view of the beach, The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and very neat, even the bottom of the table tennis table was cleaned, toppie!
Glad there's a Spa too. I had a wonderful massage twice. Friendly women with a lot of expertise.
In short: this resort is highly recommended.

Hartelijk dank voor uw mooie review en dat u opnieuw voor Palm Beach Resort heeft gekozen. Wij zijn erg blij om te horen dat u aangenaam verrast was door de renovaties en heeft genoten van de vernieuwde kamers, het uitgebreide ontbijtbuffet en het prachtige uitzicht op het strand.
Het doet ons veel plezier dat de vriendelijkheid en het oog voor detail van ons team uw verblijf extra bijzonder hebben gemaakt. Ook zijn wij blij dat u heeft kunnen genieten van de spa en de heerlijke massages—uw complimenten betekenen veel voor ons team.

Very welcoming
We had to convert our trip to Vietnam to this hotel in Gambia. That's quite another thing so just switch. Confusing given the poverty that exists and yet the joy of both the children and the people who live there. And sure if you don't have it wide you want to make something from the tourists.
At least we have them in our hearts. The hotel is fine!! Lovely rooms, good beds and a lovely shower. The staff made our holiday very welcoming.
The lifeguard (captain Marcel ) is very service oriented and does everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
What was also important to us is that the Dutch owner and his wife are involved and good for the staff.
By Gambian standards, they earn well.
The pool is lovely and there is a private beach where the hustlers are not allowed.
The food is good. The kitchen needs to be a bit more structured but is being worked on.
Definitely recommended this country and this hotel!

Top holiday in beautiful Gambia
Was another top holiday at Palm beach. Completely renovated with a nice beach and good restaurant

What a difference
We had been to the old Palm Beach Hotel which was in need of TLC and decided to try it now it's had a major refurbishment.
What a difference it was and done to a good standard.
The rooms have sliding patio doors with a sliding mossie door,air conditioning included (as before) tv,wardrobe,small cupboard,safe(included)kettle,comfy beds,pool towels.
The bathrooms will be upgraded at a later date as they were done by previous owners.
If you want a fridge you pay extra.
Rooms are lovely and clean,bedding changed alternative days and towels also as and when needed.
Pool lovely and clean,plenty of sunbeds around the pool area and there a pool bar.
The restaurant has plenty of tables inside and outside and the buffet breakfast had plenty of choice.They also have a very good selection of meals/items on the menu at very reasonable prices.
There's also plenty of sunbeds on the beach and a beach bar serving drinks and snacks till 6pm.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The grounds are lovely and clean and tidy.
Very impressed with the "new" Palm Beach Resort and we will be going back.

Lovely hotel great food
Booked to stay here for easter but had to be moved to another hotel and pay more as tui was informed it would not be open. Only ate in the restaurant 3 times and the food was of European standard
Does look very nice since the renovation compared to before it was closed
Hope the hotel dinning area keeps as clean as it is unlike its sister hotel im staying at kombo beach the soft furnishings in dinning areas are filthy
