Drinks near the station

We had drinks before getting a train so we cannot speak to the accommodation. The elderly waiter was very nice and the Remy Martin (gulp - at lunchtime none the less) was of a VERY generous portion. Other customers were very good humoured and it had some sort of old school charm where nobody was in a hurry and you could watch the world pass by.

Horrible Bed Bugs everywhere

This place has a lots of bed bugs on the bed and floor, please send the health inspectors immediately.. very very bad. Our family couldn’t sleep whole night… busy killing bugs

Excellent friendly little bar

I have been coming to this bar, on and off, since 1994 when the Eurostars began. It hasn’t changed since then, thankfully. This is a great little bar - simple, friendly and reasonable prices. The bar area always looks so bright and clean. Mainly, though, it is just 2 minute from Gare du Nord and full of French people just enjoying their time. You are away from the bustle and can just listen and watch the world go by. There is a variety of beers and cheap snacks to go with them. I always aim for this place if I have an hour or more to spare.

Disappointing

Very dilapidated room, hair in bed, broken shower. It's hard to sleep with the noise of the metro. Boss very friendly but that's not all. Only advantage: proximity to the station

Good value close to Gare du Nord

The main advantage of this place is its proximity to the Gare du Nord. ROom above a pub but was quiet enough. Breakfast available. No lift and noi en-suite but I was happy with the accommodation. WOuld go again. Clean. Pleasant staff who called me to check I was OK because I was late.
