Scam. Hotel closed

I booked and paid for the 2 nights in December and it was only on site on 24/4/26 that I discovered that the hotel has been closed for a long time. I was not notified (or reimbursed!) and had to find a new place to stay at the full rate in panic.

Booking and a scam

It was a terrible experience the hotel does not exist i.e. it exists but minimum for two years is closed booking did not give me my money back. They literally cheated me and us and two other couples who were in the middle of nowhere the night after 18 hours of traveling to Miami.

Scam hotel

Scam. Avoid! Took full payment for my stay & then they cancelled my stay without consent or warning. Thieves, now I must fight for a refund.

!! BEWARE THIS HOTEL !!

I made a reservation through Booking.com, only for the hotel to cancel it a couple of months later after taking payment and then fail to issue a refund.
To make things even more concerning, the property seems to operate under multiple names: TB Hotel Downtown Miami, TB Hotel By Downtown Miami, Hotel TB Downtown Miami, and even Demetree Hotel.
These name changes may have explanations, but based on how I was treated, the whole experience felt deeply unreliable and raised serious red flags.
Until they demonstrate more transparency and honour their commitments, I strongly recommend avoiding this property.

No response, no refund after more than a month after cancelling!

We made a reservation for December 27-29, 2025 at this hotel via a 3rd party website on August 22, 2025 and were charged by the hotel on August 22 and 24 (1/2 each night). On August 27, 2025, we cancelled the reservation due to a change in our travel plans, and we were told we'd be refunded in full. We're still waiting more than a month later, and the hotel has failed to respond to 2 emails (Sept 7 and Oct 2) and a voicemail left on October 3. We are done with this property, I'd caution anyone against making a reservation there.
