Laven House ~ Perfection achieved!

Absolutely perfect! We rented the Laven House for our family's Christmas. We gathered from across the nation to celebrate together, and this was the perfect setting! The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, right down to the fresh arrangement on the dining room table! Alongside it was a plate of homemade Christmas goodies with a note welcoming our family! This along with other thoughtful touches set the stage for our gathering and made us feel welcome. When we arrived the Christmas lights were all on, the fireplace glowing, and reindeer headbands awaited the kids on the coffee table! Even the grandchildren commented how festive it was. l especially appreciated the fact that the first floor and all the common areas easily accommodated my daughter who was in a wheelchair due to multiple broken bones. Granted, there were 4 steps to get into the house but with strong guys to assist and sturdy handrails, that was no problem. The Laven House was cozy, and yet roomy and with 4 different levels of bedrooms, no one's noise disturbed anyone else. The house was easy to find, immaculate, well equipped with plenty of dishes, silverware, glassware, and even wine glasses. Kudos to the proprietors! We could not recommend the Laven House more highly!! We will be back!!

Candy's Attic is a Dream!

I stayed with a group of friends while we were working on a volunteer project. The common areas were comfy and gave us a great place to get some work done and also have some fun. The breakfast items were delicious. It was so beautifully kept up - clean and homey. But the best part was my room - Candy's attic. I would have my morning coffee in the sitting area and my afternoon bath in the lovely oversized tub near the little balcony that gives a lovely view of the rooftops of the neighborhood. It was heaven!

Luxury, comfort, joy!

My friends and I rented the Laven House for a working weekend and had a simply gorgeous experience! The house is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. Homemade baked goods magically appeared each morning, as we made coffee to our exact specifications using the Keurig machines in almost every room. Five of us stayed in four bedrooms, and each one of us believed that our room was the best one. We're already planning next year's visit!!

Great stay in downtown Mankato

I was lucky enough to stay in Candy's Attic while I was in Mankato for some meetings. The pre-arrival communication was so clear including helpful suggestions about the area. The room is super spacious and quirky in a good way--with angled ceilings and lots of little nooks. The bed was comfy and I loved having the window open with the scent of the blooming lilac bush beneath the window. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Mankato.
