Very good experience

A wonderful hotel! Very clean, and the staff are smiling and always ready to help. Even though it is small, it is very cozy and kept in perfect order. It is located in a very convenient spot: right next to the train station, and you can easily walk to downtown Boston along a pleasant route in about 25–30 minutes.Breakfast was complimentary.Highly recommended!

I booked a room with two of queen beds, but got a room with one bed.
Staff from the front desk just said “ we dont know”

Had to pay 2 nights for a no show penalty and had my points held

I actually never stayed at this hotel. I made a reservation using Hilton Honors points (where I am Diamond level) for 2 nights in early July.
Cost: 140,000 points.
Apparently it was a non refundable, non changable, non editable, and non cancelable reservation. I made it in haste on my i phone and never dreamed that there was even such a thing.
We were planning a trip to an island off of Maine and were adding 2 days in Boston after flying into Logan. I had no idea that there would be World Cup events there in July, The franchise owner declared it to be some kind of special event with special terms.
I paid with POINTS. 140,000
I had to pay in DOLLARS as a NO SHOW: over $700
I had been communicating with the hotel since April (when we decided not to go to Maine) trying to reason with them ---- not understanding how, 3 months before the event, they would not do anything. I mean, look up the definition of "HOSPITALITY" to see what I mean.
Skip forward:
Then around the time of the reservation, I received an email stating that the credit card on file was not active and unless I contacted the hotel, they would cancel my reservation.
That's what I had been asking for since April.
Skip forward:
Later in July, I went to make a couple of Hilton reservations using points for the Ashville, NC area. I had trouble with the app and called Hilton. That's when I learned that my Honors points (about a million give or take) had been suspended until the bill got paid, and it was possible they could close my account and cancel all my points.
I had never been informed that my account was suspended. Later I learned that an email regarding this was sent, but not to me.
Many sources estimate the value of a point to be about 1/2 of a cent. So, my points were likely worth $4000 or more, and there was no way to get them released until I paid the hotel for a room I never used, a room they never had to clean, no free breakfast, or water, or anything. They knew in April that my plans had changed. All my points were held. The 140,000 points had been returned to my account. I relented, and reluctantly, paid them with my hard earned dollars.
I should add that Hilton corporate was duly advised with a lengthy letter and several exhibits sent to 2 senior VP's. That was forwarded to an escalation person who worked with me, but as an independent franchise, it appears corporate could not tell them what to do. They did give me 50,000 points though.
In summary, in my 71 years on the planet, this senseless lack of customer service and sensitivity left enough of a poor taste that I just spent 2 hours (hunt and peck) telling my story,

Meh

Hotel with no special features. We hear the noise of the train and people shouting in the streets. We found a hair on the bed.

The hotel offers an excellent option to avoid astronomical parking fees in Boston downtown. We are very active people. So to walk from the hotel to Boston was a hoot an half. For the folks with mobility issues, you have the metro system just a few meters from the hotel. It only takes 4 stations to be in downtown and you can pay using your credit card. Boston is an amazing city and our hotel location was definitely a plus. About two kilometres away, you will arrive to the vibrant Little Italy where you can find a myriad of Italian American delicacies. Just outside Little Italy, you can access the public market and Quincy Market. I went off topic, the room in the hotel was spacious and comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was solid and there is always bananas and apples available during the day and night. The hotel is bang on in terms of quality and price. The gym is the only under the average, the hotel could do much better adding spaces and elastic sets.
