This hotel has an ideal beachfront setting on the tropical island of La Gomera. It has a massive rooftop swimming pool with amazing views of the sea. Private parking is available. The stylish Playa Calera is no-smoking in all areas.

Good resort at the right size.. nevertheless few points to improve
We went to the hotel by July, family of 5 with 3 kids.
The resort is good and we had the chance to arrive when it was not crowded.
Two communicating rooms on the last floor, perfect for a family of 5.
You can find a small kitchen inside every room with a fridge, letting you the possibility to cook easy things.
Beds are goods and we had the chance to rest as it was not noisy during the 3 first days.
After that the hotel was almost full and the feeling was different.
People are smashing the doors, talking late and early in the corridors.. then you realise that isolation is poor.
Swimming pool is opening late 10/30 and closing too early 19h. (At 18/30 you can’t get in anymore)
The breakfast is acceptable and several points could be improved :
Quality of fruits is not good, most you can’t eat!
The staff is really noisy, above all the girl that is collecting the plates, we were wondering if she would to break them as it was super noisy.
The same girl is also not really sympatic! Not talking to friendly despite we were smiling.
She is also stopping the coffee machine at 10 sharp, that will not let you have the chance to grab a last coffee if you like.
The underground free parking is also convenient.
The overall feeling for our stay is good and I would recommend the hotel for those for like quietness and farniente.

It does not have air conditioning nor does it have a 4-star rating.
Horrible!!!
A/C NOT FOUND
Very disappointing experience. We booked this apartment hotel because it advertised air conditioning, but it was not working correctly. The first night it barely cooled, and the second night it was impossible to rest: the unit kept turning off constantly and we had to ask for a fan after several calls to the front desk.
The manager acknowledged that there were problems with the air conditioning, but she did not offer any compensation, claiming that our stay was very short. Her only proposal was to let us stay in the room for one more hour. If we had known, we would have booked another accommodation for less than half the price and with the same services.
I do not blame the staff, who were friendly, but the management of the establishment. A 4-star hotel should not advertise a service that it cannot guarantee.
If you are looking to rest, this is not your accommodation. The pool is nice, but the floor transmits vibrations and makes a lot of noise when people walk by, and when it is crowded the atmosphere is too noisy to relax.
The positive: spacious room, varied and very good breakfast, parking, and attentive staff.
In my opinion, it is not worth what it costs. There are better and more affordable accommodations in La Gomera.
Look for another place.

Location optimal - good hotel without surprises
Very friendly staff at reception. Room great with good beds, bathroom ok. Overall everything yesterday, really deserves an update. Nice balcony with side sea view, chairs type DIY store. Breakfast good but without any highlights. Roof terrace with pool with beautiful all-round views, rather uncomfortable loungers, mini bath towels, unfriendly pool supervision. Overall, there are no surprises, neither down, but certainly not up - all neat 4* standard. The best is the quiet location just a few meters from the promenade and beach with varied and good gastronomy. Free hotel garage, but room safe for 4 € per day.

We would come back again
Good hotel. Spacious, slightly older (in brown tones) furnished rooms, but very clean, with kitchenette and sofa and balcony. Delicious breakfast that leaves little to be desired despite the small-looking buffet. It's always refilled.
Very friendly staff, at reception, breakfast and cleaning by the room. Good location, almost directly on the small beach promenade of Playa Calera. And underground parking for rental cars.

We ate here))))
They lived in a cheaper version of Las Mozas next door. The food is amazing!!!!! The food is quality, the menu is changed, everything is delicious! There were steaks and rabbit and turkey. Fresh local fish of at least two species every day. If I give my first place in breakfast to a hotel in Verona, then dinners taste better and better than I've probably eaten (except Excelsior valletta malta). I'm the one who really cares about the level of food in the hotel - to plan ahead for restaurants - whether it takes time. The only day that tastes bad is the Oriental, but the same Chinese food problem happened in Majorca in October. I put up lots of pictures to show you the nutritional status. We were very pleased. Thanks to the chefs!!!!! And the waiters - many do clean the dishes by hand, not rattle the cart between tables.
