Good hotel as a starting point for exploring the northwestern Basque Country

The hotel is located at the foot of the old town and also close to the Bidasoa River, the border river to France, along whose banks the promenade leads to the sea. It is somewhat away from the national roads and highways, but that is a good thing! Because the beautiful town of Hondarribia is practically a dead end and thus remains free from heavy traffic. The hotel is easily accessible by car and has its own parking spaces. By the way: there is a bus stop about 150 meters away, from which the old town center of San Sebastian can be reached directly via line 21 (about 30 minutes for €2.50). Along the promenade, it takes about 15 minutes on foot to reach the beautiful town center, where many good restaurants can be found. There is a small airport nearby, but the flight operations are minimal and do not disturb.
The rooms are modernly equipped, clean, air-conditioned, spacious, and quiet. Important: the beds are good (firm mattresses). Those who want to use the pool must wait until June 1st, even if there may be summer temperatures beforehand (water is a precious resource in Spain). The outdoor area is well-maintained, and there is a separate event room available for use. The Wi-Fi could be a bit stronger. The breakfast is very good and highly recommended. Everything is fresh and there is a wide selection.
The service is friendly and gladly assists with requests/questions. The bar is open from 7 PM to 10 PM (this depends somewhat on the number of guests).
Our conclusion: we would come back again.

Wonderful hotel. Hondarribia is a beautiful place. Reception was very welcoming. Rooms were clean and perfect for what we needed, highly recommend

We won't come back for the smell

First of all I want to say that they gave me room 212, superior double with terrace
The room was small as was the bathroom. Upon arrival we noticed a strong smell of air freshener, the worst came at night smelled the bathroom and the whole room piped, I checked that the bathroom had no forced ventilation, which in principle is mandatory and it takes me to file the relevant complaint at the territorial office of Tourism and Commerce of Gipuzkoa . Good thing it was one night, I'm sure they had to know about the smell.

LONG LIVE THE BRIDE AND GROOM!

Unforgettable stay at my daughter's wedding celebration. Comfortable and very clean hotel that provided us with all the facilities and help to family and friends who moved from Valencia. Enjoy the garden areas.
To highlight the attention and kindness of all the employees but especially Sara reception and Erika, pending all the details so that the wedding went perfect as it was.
Recommended for stays but especially for holding events.

Iker on the front desk was fabulous. Our cleaning lady was great. Super convenient walk into this very cute town. Ate at Sugarri restaurant which was very good. Pool wasn't open which was a shame since it was still very warm out. The ac in our room is controlled by the front desk but turns itself off after a while i guess. We did have to call down in the middle of the night when we woke up hot to ask them to turn it back on.
