Great design and a very friendly staff. The cleanliness was good throughout the stay. However, the 5-star rating feels overrated due to the property’s maintenance, which did not meet expectations. Considering the overall standard, the price is quite high for what you get.

Great hotel for young parents
An excellent hotel with caring staff and general manager. Great location. Great breakfast. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 out of 5 for its price point is that there were a lot of todlers and parents taking space in the smallish pool and since we don’t have children we found it a bit noisy and difficult to swim. Room overlooking the sea was well worth the extra cost.

Decent quality without being anything exceptional
Rather hard to write a review on this hotel as we went with such high expectations...it was the number one hotel in Mallorca as per a major national newspaper's leisure team. Frankly, we have been to many better in Mallorca but that is not the fault of Barefoot and there is little this hotel is doing wrong. Indeed the staff were absolutely superb.
We had a room overlooking the sea. There are only a handful of these as they are in a separate annex, across the road from the main hotel, the main restaurant is also on the ground floor of this building. The room itself was fine and the balcony view well worth it. The bed was standard double which was not particularly comfortable whilst the bed sheets seemed to be made from Linen and were not of good quality.
The "main" hotel building is modern and focussed around the pool. The pool, breakfast restaurant and bar were all good (although the food menu for lunch was desperately unappealing, breakfast was good though). Sadly there is no view of any sort from the pool area, you could be anywhere in the World and the location of the hotel is therefore mixed between being near the sea but not being able to see it but being near to lots of restaurants in the Port which certainly helps.
One important note, there is a lot of building work taking place around the Port and this was notable from our room and on all walks. There is also a major building renovation taking place right next to the hotel.
Conclusion - from a value for money point of view it just about stacks up...but there are many hotels in Mallorca I would place ahead of Barefoot.

Highly recommended
The stay was very good, not only because the hotel is very beautiful, pleasant, and conveys a sense of calm and well-being, but also because the staff was very attentive and friendly at all times. The restaurant was also very good.
The only drawback I would mention is that there should be a darker curtain in the room to avoid waking up when the sun rises.
