An authentic family hostel

A small family run and charming hotel. As often in Ecuador, guests have access to a kitchen, living room and terrace. Breakfast is hearty and very good. True, the bathrooms are cramped and the sound and thermal insulation failed, but our family room was great. The value for money is therefore very good and the welcome very pleasant.

Solid base to explore Old Town

The location is great, in the historical center and close to a busy street filled with restaurants and bars. However, the rooms are quite small and the bathrooms even smaller (for individual bathrooms). It was also quite cold, which isn't the hotel's fault, but in retrospect I would have asked for more blankets. Also, as of July 2022 there is big construction on the street where the hostel itself is, so you'll have to ask to be dropped off on Rocafuerte and just walk down the street halfway. Overall it's perfectly adequate for the price.

Great location, nice colonial building

The place was exacly as described in the booking site. Great location - a short walk to the main square, nice and colourful colonial building, great interior. The terrace was amazing: too bad i did not have much time to enjoy it in daylight. There was a kithen and a room where guests could have their meal. The shared bathroom was specious but i did not really manage to get hot water. Wifi worked only near the reception (and on the first floor)

Lovely hostel in great location!

Great base in Quito situated at the bottom of La Rhonda and also 10 mins walk from the main square. The owners are brilliantly helpful and the roof has lovely views. We relaxed there for a few hours in the sunshine. Small bathrooms but didn’t matter to us. It was noisy around 2am with people leaving La Rhonda so ask for a room away from the street! Great bakery 2 doors down!

Clean, Simple and Quaint

An affordable stay near La Ronda and within walking distance of other must-see sights in the historic center. We stayed during the Fiesta De Luz so the street was very busy and loud at night but we were every tied every night so it did not keep us up. The hosts were very nice. The rooms are pretty much exactly like you see in the pictures. The room we stayed in, with one bed, was small but comfortable although the bathroom was too tight and not so fun. Never had breakfast here as we just ate at nearby spots. My favorite was the rooftop. Great views of the Panecillo. Went up there a couple of nights, shared a beer, and went to bed.
