A Well-Rounded Visit: Cozy Room & Great Staff

I went to Baños with a few friends in mid-June. When I arrived late at night, I was happy to find that "Dulce Amanecer" was across the street from the bus terminal. You can't miss the luminous green sign.
When I entered the room I was almost shocked at how clean it was, and especially for $14.25 a night. I remember thinking it was near spotless. On top of that, the beds were cozy, there was good wifi, and the water was deliciously hot to shower in. Not to mention the staff was awesome! From the beginning, they were friendly, responsive, and engaging. The first night they told us about a tourist package which included all the best locations/activities Banos offers, so without even trying, we set up a great itinerary from the start!
For $20 the package included going to a lookout in the evening, the next day a "chiva" bus drove us to several different waterfalls, then to "La Casa del Arbol" later that afternoon. The hostal staff also helped us with directions to a variety of restaurants, the quickest route to the thermal hot springs in the city, and where to start a nearby hike. The day I left, I had three hours until my bus departure, and they also helped me figure out one last-minute activity: to check out the zoo. Again, the staff gave me easy directions and it was the perfect way to end my trip in Baños.
Overall, I was exceedingly pleased with the conditions of the hostal and the staff. A very rare combination for something so affordable and easily accessible to the bus terminal. In turn, the hostal not only helped out with a comfortable stay but with a well-rounded trip. This place deserves good business. Two thumbs way up!

If you want to sleep don't stay here!

Very loud noise from the street, dreadful smell from the shower drain, poor wifi, no hot water one of the nights, staff very helpful though, had to change room as the generater too loud, party town...

Could not be closer to the bus station...

You step off the bus and walk less than two minutes to the hotel/hostal. The room was on the fourth floor which helps remove you from the street noise. The room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. There was plenty of hot water in the shower. The wi-fi is spotty but this is the case in all of Banos. I think there are just so many businesses in Banos that use the internet. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Super Clean and Comfortable

The hostal is located right next to the bus station. It is extremely clean. The beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of hot water and wifi. The downside is the noise from the street. Perhaps staying on the side away from the bus terminal and ATM would help. Other than the noise great value and location.

Nice cozy rooms

Very close to the bus terminal. if you have alot of bags, its close. Good room rates, good wifi. Has a nice terrace on the top floor. Can be noisy but I don't fault the hotel. You can encounter noise at any hotel, it is just the culture in Ecuador. I suggest ear plugs.
