can be an option to stay in Cairo

It's a convenient location in Cairo.
facilities are sufficent but no elevator is installed. so you might need to be patient when you climb up stairs.
staff can help you to get some local information if you ask them.
there is a liquor shop near the hostel. if you feel like drinking, you can be reliefed.

Cockroach in bathroom, terrible receptionist

I had paid in advance for a single room. When I came early morning, I was told to take another room. I protested but the middle aged male receptionist was adamant and asked me for extra money saying I had not paid. Exasperated, I agreed but asked him to call the older man who did the booking once. When he did, he realised his mistake and confirmed it was booked for me. He did not apologise. I got clean bed sheets but saw a small cockroach in the bathroom cum toilet. There was no door to the toilet. Mosquitoes could easily come from the window. Could hear water flowing through pipes. A pathetic hotel with equally pathetic service.

Nice & Quite Hostel

Vienna Hostel is located at a very good area Down Town close to Talaat Harb square , ancient historical buildings surrounded by many good shops and restaurants.
My room was nice and simple has a balcony, with its private bathroom and AC, the Free Wi-Fi service was very good value too . I could Recommend it to others
