This place is special, nothing fancy but swanky and it’s absolutely nailed what a city break needs

I won’t lie, when we arrived at 1am I genuinely thought, where the hell have we booked after having never been or even heard of Zagreb to be honest. But I was so wrong.
We stayed in the hotel part of Stay Swanky, the room was huge and had everything we needed (only comment would be a better hair dryer and milk for the coffee) when searching for accommodation for our trip, I wanted a pool so we could relax. There aren’t many places in Zagreb with pools, so this was an instant draw to stay here. I did think after looking at pictures that it might be a very young vibe and we may feel we’re on an 18-30s holiday but that was fine. Again I was very wrong! The pool area was super chilled, there’s only enough places to sit/lay so it feels quite intimate. Theres a buzzer to ask the staff to bring drinks which was great as if you wanted to go to the bar, you had to get changed into your clothes which would have been a pain when wet, but I get it. The prices are really reasonable too, which is refreshing as we once went to a hotel in Greece and for 2 lagers and a water it was €18, here its €8!
Now onto the food…..possibly the best Thai food I’ve ever had, so much so we went twice on our 4 day trip. Again, really reasonable too, in a really trendy and laid back setting too. If you want something quick and even cheaper, there’s so many places to grab something to eat literally outside the hotel (also an amazing kebab shop across the road to the right, great at 1am )
The staff are all lovely and really helpful, Swanky, you really have something special here. It’s a little oasis outside of the hustle and bustle of the centre but not too far to dip in and out. Would we return, 1000% and we will be back again but I have a feeling we’ll have a few friends joining us after we’ve raved about it so much!!

Swanky little gem in an unbeatable location

Stayed here for three nights on a city break and honestly this place is special. It is nothing fancy but it is swanky in its own way and the location is very unique, you can walk to pretty much everything in Zagreb from the front door. The staff were lovely and gave us great tips for cafes and bars we would never have found on our own. The rooms were clean, beds comfy, and the common area had a really good atmosphere in the evenings, we met some great people there. Showers were hot, wifi worked fine, and checkin was quick and easy. It absolutely nailed what a city break needs, no fuss, just a fun and freindly base to explore from. Would definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone visiting Zagreb, five stars from us.

The staff were great, the place was very well appointed and taken care of for its cost, and it was perfectly quiet - my room was tucked away in a courtyard far from the street which had trams running along it. Nice bar and pool too. Highly recommended.

Nice staff, clean place, adorable too! And the Location in the center of the city, can’t be better! I will come back again definitely

Nice hotel perfectly located

Very welcome! The hotel is conveniently located, well connected by tram and easy to find.
The rooms are large, modern and well equipped!
Breakfast is plentiful and served good quality!
