Run away !

We booked a room in this hotel in June. Booked on the internet by Booking.com as a luxury hotel since the room has a spa bath separated from the bathroom all the same. The first disappointment was when we arrived... firstly the hotel: the rooms are integrated into the same building as a polyclinic. Access from the parking side as well as the road side is a dark "tagged" corridor, very complicated to find where the reception is, we had to call the reception so that they could tell us which floor and where to go, the elevator opens onto a medical waiting room...actually on the left side at the end of the corridor is the reception
The welcome is friendly, the person shows us our room with the access codes. We spent three
nights with a succession of disappointments in the quality and standard of this so-called luxurious room. The cleaning was not done conscientiously; we tested some small pieces of dirt deliberately placed on the floor... they did not move. The coffee sticks that we consumed in the room the first evening, we had to make do with them because they were not even replaced, even the cup used had not moved from place... the tiles around the bathtub were full of stains. our arrival.
The breakfast room was right next to our room at our first breakfast the floor stuck under the sneakers... and the coffee stain observed on the floor the first day remained there the three days and when breakfast lunch itself it was at the level of a Formula 1 (1* hotel)
I admit that the room was spacious and the bedding comfortable, but I still had to ask for a chair to use at the desk. It is absolutely imperative to reserve a parking space at the hotel otherwise you will spend all night finding a space in the free parking lot. When we left, absolutely no one at reception after 10 minutes despite the doorbell...
My review is a little long, I admit, but I think I'm still forgetting some negative things, knowing all the same that this is the first time in all the trips we've made that I've posted a negative review, so I'm thinking of doing so. some of the “nice” customers.

Great room but not close to the the old town

The room itself was fine - large, good bed, good wifi, fridge, large bathroom, super hot water, balcony. There's also a sauna that you can use (although I didn't).
However, the location is a bit meh. There's nothing in the immediate area and you need to take a bus to get to the old town. It's not far and the bus is cheap (especially if you use the app) and I did walk it once, but next time I'd stay in or much closer to the old town

Disappointing

Attention big scam!! As soon as we arrive a car park that may damage your car. The entrance is disturbing, looks like a throat cutter. The very relaxed receptionist wears an old T-shirt shorts and taps. The nightmare continues when he accompanies us to our rooms. The first smells moldy and the carpet is stained. Then we will find that the air conditioning does not work. The second one smells like mold. The third always this foul smell, the air conditioning stopped working on the second day. The terrace is dirty, the 3 plants totally dried out. Cleaning is not done daily and the breakfast located in a depressing closed room mirrors the disappointing Pension. It's a shame. Fuyez!

Would not return

The room was very dated, no balcony, it’s a good 30 minute walk to the harbour, buses are available, good hot shower, the cooked breakfast is swimming in oil, toast & other choices nice. Local beach currently closed, unsure when opening, got taxi to another beach, which was lovely

A hotel that reflects its staff = rubbish
I'll start with the positive points because it will be quicker:
- room cleanliness
- room decoration
For the rest, it's a real disaster. Like you who are looking at this comment, I was looking for a good hotel in Split to spend my vacation. Seeing the photos, and seeing the Booking.com rating, I was convinced I had found the ideal hotel. However, it was a real disappointment on many subjects:
- unfriendly or even unpleasant staff
- bad neighborhood
- noisy neighborhood
- room overlooking a very busy and noisy road intersection + very poorly insulated rooms (heat + noise)
- window curtains too short = exposure of the room to the sun from 6:30 a.m., impossible to sleep afterwards and impossible to draw the curtains further (because they are too short)
- breakfast in a small, noisy room without windows
- disappointing breakfast with low quality products, sometimes still frozen
- extra paid parking, sometimes full because the staff also parks there (forced to go to reception to ask them to remove their car).
- parking which is located on vacant land (difficult to access for low cars)
- Elevator still broken
- We were assured of a "large double bed", however, we had two single beds pushed together, with two separate duvets.
- hair dryer in the bathroom that does not work
- the entire staff was rude to us from start to finish.
As a French person, I am used to average quality hotels such as Ibis. I'm not looking for luxurious services. However, this hotel is a real fiasco. I strongly advise you not to stay there.
