Very friendly, and nice place to stay

We stayed here during the mud festival and were very happy with everything about the motel. We found the motel though Lonely Planet Korea book, and booked by phone because there was no website. The room was 3 times the normal price because it was the mud festival, but we didn't mind because all the places to stay were doing the same thing.
The motel was very close to the beach which was great for going the the festival. There were also a lot of places to eat and stores to buy whatever you needed. The people running the motel were very friendly and helpful, and were able to answer the few questions we had.
The room was small but nice and very clean. I was happy with how quite it was inside the room, once inside the room I never heard the ongoing party's happening everywhere.
Overall all I was very happy and if I ever go back to Boryeong I will stay here.

Mud Festival Hotel

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for the Boryeong mud festival. It is one block from the beach at the end of "the strip". It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the festival. The hotel was easy to find. Staff was polite. We arrived the night before the last day of the festival so they let us check out late so we could attend the festival but still come back and shower before heading to the bus station. Big PLUS! The rooms are basic. Private bathroom/shower combo room like most Korean motels. AC worked VERY well. The bed only had a bottom sheet and a comforter which is the case for some motels in Korea but given the price we paid to stay there I was hoping for a little more luxury. It was a 150,000 KRW for the night, but all the hotels jacked up their prices because of the festival. Another nice thing is that the windows are double pane and block the noise from outside at night when you're trying to sleep. All and all average stay in a beach town.

Nice hotel near the strip and beach

We chose this hotel because it was recommended by the lonely planet book. It wasn't quite as eccentric as it seemed from that description but it does have plastic palm trees out front. The hotel is about a block from the beach. It is on a small alleyway off the main street into town. There are many stores, restaurants, and coffee shops within a short walk and if you're lucky enough to be there when the water park is open you're a block away from that.
The staff was very friendly and even helped us make a Korean language call to setup our next destination which was a farmstay. The room was large by Korean standards with a small desk and television. The room also had an air conditioner and view of the beach but that may not be true of all rooms. The bed had two electric "devices" connected to it. At first I thought one might be a vibrating bed! I think one was broken and the other was a bed heater (maybe nice if you find yourself there in the winter).

泥祭り開催時の宿泊しました！

このエリアで行われる泥祭り(Mud Festival)開催時に宿泊しました。
このエリアでは、割かしメジャーな宿らしく旅行本にも載っています。
どちらかといえば、モーテル風。
受付で鍵を受け取って、あとは自由にどうぞ、という感じです。
客室はいたって普通で、ベッドに浴室にテレビに、冷暖房器具といった感じです。
浴室はユニットですが、結構広いです。
スタッフの方はフレンドリーで、対応になれているようでした。
フロントに水が自由に飲めるウォーターサーバーの設置はありがたかったですね。
この宿泊施設には、
泥祭り開催時に利用する方が多いので、とにかく泥、泥、泥だらけ。
ちょうど施設の入り口に、ホースがあるので、
それで一度キレイにしてから入るようにしたほうがマナー的にも良いかもしれません。
値段もリーズナブルですし、
ビーチや飲食店やら何やら、割かし便利な場所にあるのでおすすめです！
徒歩5分圏内でほとんどのところにはいけるのではないのでしょうか。
バス乗り場も大変近かったです。
