Hidden gem in Alert Bay.

We had dinner in the restaurant, which was excellent. I had the lamb shank, which was perfectly prepared. My husband had the seafood linguine, which was loaded with mussels, clams and prawns. Both dishes were beautifully plated and garnished. Their featured cocktail was great. Very pleasantly surprised! Highly recommended.

Magic in Alert Bay

Hadn’t expected much because of the remote geography and physical exterior of the place but we found near perfection inside. Amazing Marinara mussels, smoked salmon penne, desserts all world class. Can’t rate this wonderful find high enough. Amazing experience not to be missed.

Orca Restaurant= World Class

Last summer (Aug. '25) was our second fabulous visit and meal at the Orca Restaurant.
The food and presentation were world-class; their specialty cocktails sublime, and the owners and servers are too!
We came by boat (from Tacoma, WA) and stayed aboard at the Alert Bay Marina. (another great experience)...

Gordon Ramsey would scream.

Three restaurants in Alert Bay, skip this one. Ordered steak got a mess of fat and gristle. Overpriced for disappointment. The other two restaurants are better, one is basic food and the other will surprise you in quality.

Great Stay in Alert Bay

This was a great stay in a quirky property on the wonderful Cormorant Island. Larry and Kathy go out of their way to make you welcome, and the rooms have everything you need as a base. You can walk to the marvellous U'Mista Museum, and just walking along the road on which the property stands you will definitely see a lot of eagles and likely an Orca or two. The locals are really friendly, and don't miss the restaurant in the Inn, either. Highly recommended
