Cozy

Excellent inn, super welcoming and cozy. Service of extreme excellence, the breakfast is a wonderful experience, it has the best pamonha in the world and the coffee... delicious!

Peace and superb service

Pousada Papyrus was an excellent location for our Tiradentes stay. The Pousada is conveniently located within a short, comfortable walk to Tiradentes main square. The Pousada itself is idyllic in its settings. We felt like we were in the middle of a forest every time we looked outside our window or enjoyed the amazing food spread at breakfast. There were plenty of food options daily. In the middle of the week, we were also treated to an amazing cook-to-order dinner right at the Pousada. Even more impressive was the Pousada staff. Everyone attended to our needs and was very friendly. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The Pousada's location added an extra layer of quiet to our stay. The only sounds we heard were birds. I would highly recommend anyone to experience a magnificent stay at Pousada Papyrus. Congratulations to Eli for creating an amazing space.

Beautiful place close to downtown in Tiradentes!

A beautiful place with all we needed, excellent food, excellent staff, the owner is an amazing person always ready to help and give you the best advices, the room very comfy and clean, nice amenities. Can’t wait to comeback with my whole family.
Tiradentes is also very safe, we walked from the hotel to downtown during the day and night, the best walk ever!

A great experience at Pousada Papyrus!

What a gem! Quality and good taste are the watchwords for this pousada. The friendly and attentive staff made our week-long stay a delight. Eli, the owner, gave many helpful suggestions, some even before we arrived.
The rooms are clean and well appointed. The inclusive breakfast is plentiful with homemade breads and cakes, fresh juices and fruits, and a wide selection of dishes, hot and cold. I asked for the recipe for the savoury cake.
The layout of the pousada slopes down to a shady garden with day beds to relax in the peaceful surroundings in the shadow of the Serra de São José.
For my wife and I, the slope proved a challenge so Eli arranged for us to transfer to a suite near Reception and the staff quickly transferred our luggage. There are also some steps to access the swimming pool and restaurant areas but are not a problem.
We unreservedly recommend Pousada Papyrus and would stay there again should the opportunity arise.

Horrible. A nightmare to sleep,

Room that looks onto road absolutely not soundproofed, with walls shaking at every bus passage. A real nightmare. No hot water in the shower or sink. Internet not working. Cleaning in the shower not done for a long time considering the amount of hair in the shower.
And I specify that we had 2 bedrooms.
Fortunately, the breakfast was hearty and the lady has a very nice welcome.
To flee for tourists (family) like us.
The Rating of “Best of the Best” really undeserved in my opinion.
