The Prison Tree and Lesome Disaster Monument are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Kasika Conservancy and Cuando River. Welcoming.

Beautiful structure immersed in greenery.
Good buffet breakfast, light lunch on request, and good buffet dinner.
Spacious rooms as well as the bathroom; there should be more hooks to hang the towels. Balcony.
Friendly and helpful staff.
WIFI only in the reception; in the rooms, it works intermittently.
Good location near Chobe National Park with very knowledgeable guides for the visit.

Jungle Camp with permanent dwelling

Hmmmm , how can you put that?! Jungle camp meets permanent dwelling ?!
Has something of the jungle camp , the lodges are scattered between all the planting . A bit in need of renovation. Lunch area not really recommended (cleanliness standards ?!) , pool although available, water but milky . There is also a “souvenir shop” on the premises , the exhibits are a bit poor and the prices very high ( 2 postcards and 2 magnets = 20 US$)

My Husband and I disagreed about this hotel

We spent 2 nights here and the lodge is surrounded by bush with wild animals free to come into the grounds. We never saw any. The rooms all have a large veranda with a table and 2 chairs right in the bush. This kind of environment was too much for me but my Husband loved it. I was covered in bites day and night sitting on the balcony. The Buffet evening food was limited and atrocious on the first night and same with breakfast. Even my Husband admitted the evening meal let the complex down. The second evening meal was not in the restaurant but outdoors in the pool area and was excellent with BBQ meat and traditional Botswana food. All l could eat for breakfast was a bacon sandwich. Had to ask for hot water for my tea as urn lack warm. I could not wait to leave. On checking out my Husband was charged for 2 drinks ordered the previous afternoon. He paid it on his bank card. When he told me l told him that l did not order or have any drinks. I went to reception to complain and demand a refund. This is when l knew l was in a African Country hotel. The receptionist said only the accountant could do the refund and not available. I was absolutely furious as considered this theft by the hotel. As l was on a tour holiday the Tour Guide dragged me away as l was delaying departure. I was never keen on the lodge complex or surroundings and this left a unpleasant taste in my mouth and upsetted my Pensioner Husband for the day. The only good thing about my stay was the evening meal in the pool area and fabulous to see some of the Waiting Staff dancing to their traditional music. Must admit the complex provides 2 bottles of water a day free and you can pick passion fruits from the grounds which was nice. This hotel ruined my visit to Botswana. Due to swollen feet did not sight see as remained in the room resting whilst the rest of the Tour Party went sightseeing and did a game safari

Kwalape Lodge. Home away from home

I went ti Kwalape Lodge on the 8th December 2025. We booked a double bedroom and the room was very very clean, the bathroom was magnificent, I really enjoyed my stay at Kwalape. The workers were so welcoming, the likes of Gaone, Helen, another Gaone, Masego, Mr Summer the tour guide. They really made our stay at Kwalape so beautiful .
Helen was the best waitress ever, she served us the first day we arrive upto our last day at Kwalape. We spent 4 nights and we had a fabulous stay there. The Lodge is superb. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to book and stay there. The Lodge is some few kilometers to Kasane and it is along the road which makes the trip to Kasane mall very easy

I was in a safari tent for 3 nights. A great value! You have to ask for towels. They were not in the room. Staff were wonderful. Place was clean and the outdoor bathroom was charming.
