a great place to stay overnight during a trip to Botswana

Very particular structure for the decor of the rooms and how it develops outside, however the overnight stay with dinner was very pleasant.
The rooms and bathroom are furnished with handcrafted wooden furniture.
The staff is very friendly, the dinner menu is not very extensive but given the place is conspicuous.

Nice surprise

Great oasis is this area - clean rooms with good working ac and a fridge with kettle and coffee/tea. You can buy water at the restaurant. Refreshing clean pool. After 5 nights in KD2 it was like heaven. Friendly staff and good restaurant. Recommend!

Pleasant overnight stay - restaurant needs better management

This was our first time at Nkisi, rooms were VERY clean. Bedding a bit old but clean.
We were happy with our room - only complaint would be the kids beds might need new matrasses at a stage.
Restaurant - needs a little better management. The menu is extensive but most of the items not available. Rather then make the menu a bit simpler but at least you can always offer all the items.
A good idea in future would be to send the menu to the guests who have booked to pre-order their meals so food can be taken our of the freezer in time, and for guests who are walk ins notify in advance that meals would take a while due to most food items which are frozen.
A big table of 12-14 guests almost sent back all their food because outside it was cooked but inside still frozen.
We gave the kitchen a bit more time and at least our food was not frozen anymore.

A Good overnight stop

A great place to stop overnight. We had a lovely pizza for dinner where the staff went out of their way to serve us, a warm shower, great breakfast and wonderful packed lunch. There is a lovely huge pool to dip in too. Located right off the main road, so access is really easy. Great wifi too.

Pleasant break on the Trans-Kalahari highway

Kang is a natural stop for people coming back from Maun to Gaborone, via Ghanzi and this is a very pleasant guesthouse. The room was large, the bed comfortable and the air-conditioning excellent. The dining room was inefficient, I cancelled a toasted sandwich order after 45 minutes, as it was still not being made. However, once you leave Kang, there is nowhere else to eat breakfast until Gaborone, so get food in Kang.
