Superb

Superb former notary's house in the heart of Bruges, renovated into a hotel.
Just a few steps from the main square, and yet this place is a spot of magical tranquility.
With its magnificent garden leading to a small private canal dock, its natural swimming pool where it is pleasant to cool off in good weather, this magnificent house hosts a limited number of rooms, all decorated with great care and voluptuousness.
The atmosphere of the hotel is relatively family-oriented; making the place your own for a weekend is very pleasant.
Top-notch service and staff.

A CHIC AND GENEROUS DREAM IN A MAGICAL PLACE

We had 6 suites and everything was extremely fabulous from the 1st to the last day. The professionalism of the staff, who were warm, kind, attentive, and receptive to the slightest request. Els was perfect, dynamic, and present.
The natural pool, the garden, the canal that runs along the property, the decor, the atmosphere, the cleanliness, the brightness, the size of the rooms, everything was there. It made me want to come back for Christmas because the atmosphere and the decorations must be superb. A chic, elegant, serene, quiet address with very convenient parking right in the center. Everything was a pleasure, even paying the bill. Quality has a price

Wonderful Hotel in Bruges

Our stay at The Notary was one of the highlights of our trip to Belgium. The hotel is absolutely beautiful — elegant, charming, and full of character while still feeling warm and welcoming. Our room was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and had such a cozy atmosphere that it immediately felt relaxing after a day exploring Bruges. Every detail felt thoughtful and well curated.
What really stood out was how peaceful and special the entire experience felt. It’s the kind of hotel that makes you slow down and enjoy where you are. Honestly, I wish we could have stayed longer. If we return to Bruges, this would easily be our first choice again.

Lovely stay with family

We loved the hotel, wish we could have stayed longer. The Suites are gorgeous and spacious. The service super attentive. They even prepared us some dishes after the restaurant opening hours. And they are dog friendly!

A wonderful, personal small hotel in an excellent location close to the city centre. The hotel garden was beautiful and made a perfect setting for both breakfast and evening drinks. Being able to swim in the lovely pond was a delightful extra bonus!
