Extended twice and returned again!
My first stay here, I extended twice and ended up staying for a total of 3 weeks. I love how welcome the Nomads and Happy Travel staff make you feel. I always got a hello, enjoy your day, how did I get on in my interview etc and if I felt lonely or bored after one set of friends left, Lilliana, Lulu and Calum would always give me the time of day (if they weren't with guests). Miranda also helped me to feel so welcome and included in the events and evening activities, always came over to say hello and make sure I was having fun.
Some of the beds are comfier than others, some of the rooms have curtains and some don't have air con - but weirdly enough, I slept better in the room without air con even though it was hot. The sanctuary has a nice touch with the hair dryers and straighteners but unfortunately only one set of each worked when I was there - it was still good to have use of them. Make sure to label your food and check it hasn't fallen off or your stuff may get thrown out, I had this happen a friend because he forgot to label it - but the labels are provided.
I have just returned after a bad au pair experience and it was lovely to come back to somewhere so friendly and Brit on reception even remembered me and welcomed me back. I didn't get the guys name who checked me in, but he was lovely too. My first proper day there (after returning), the girl in my room and I decided to go to the BBQ in the park. Lindsay was so lovely and welcoming, we got chatting to everyone and a group of us stayed behind to chat and hang out before heading back to the hostel. We plan to attend the bingo tonight at Scary Canary's which is crazy and so much fun.

Excellent stay
The rooms are spacious I stayed in a private room with ensuite for 2 nights and a room with a bunk bed and ensuite luckily I was the only person that checked in which I was extremely pleased about.
The kitchen is very spacious with kettles and numerous microwaves . Also cutlery etc
There is a restaurant/nightclub next door and residents staying at Nomads can get a discount.The food is very nice and happy hours drinks are only 7 dollars.
The hostel is across from the town hall and near plenty of shops and transport it's in an ideal location.
I would definitely stay here again all the staff are so lovely and helpful.
