While the staff we were good. Reception leave at 17:30. Then they sent a code for a lockbox at the front door. It dropped but was not under the flap. I had to get fingers underneath to fish the card and instructions out. Not at all acceptable. The room was quite big. The kitchen was good. But the shower head falls off and onto your foot. And there was no shelf there for soap or shampoo. Maintenance is very poor.

Hospital stay.

Very disappointed, stayed 2 nights. Bathroom dirty,no shelf in shower for toiletries. Windows dirty and mouldy from inside condensation. No teaspoons,had to use large spoons for coffee. Paid parking very limited and hard to manoeuvre. Paid for 2 x nights, second day couldn't access and no reception help. No drinking glasses.
Only 2 positives, location to Epworth Hospital and the inclusion of a washer and dryer.

Dodgy AF! Will Cancel your Booking during peak events. Stay Away!!

Trravellers looking to book during events BEWARE!! Adara Richmond has a terrible pattern of cancelling bookings right before peak periods, often hiding behind vague excuses like "operational/technical issue.” Read the reviews. This isn’t a one-off. It's a repeated, widely reported issue that suggests a deliberate tactic to resell rooms at higher prices.
I booked and paid for my room in December 2025 for a stay in June 2026. My booking was cancelled in April 2026, when their incompetent reservations realised there was an event at the MCG and could resell the room at a higher rate.
It’s illegal, unethical, and completely unacceptable.
Travellers should think twice before booking and seriously consider reporting these practices to the relevant authorities. Businesses shouldn’t be allowed to operate like this without accountability.
