Nice place to be
I like it.
Is better than Iruna that's sure!
Is the same chain of Costa Galana and Iruna
but is really better than Iruna even if you take your breakfast in Iruna White Salon.
I had a small balcony with plants.

Disgusting!!
Don't be fooled by the professional photos of this hotel. The lobby has been remodeled, but the rooms are filthy. I avoided touching the carpet with my bare feet. The window didn't close properly, so it was freezing all night. The TV is from the 1900s. The whole hotel smells like cheese. It was a nightmare. I couldn't wait to get out of there!!

Not a 4 star hotel
Our room was very basic with old (not antique) furniture. There was no air conditioner in the room, only a fan. This was fine since the temperature was ok, but it would not have been fine in a hot day. The room was not very clean (but I am picky), especially the bathroom, but everything worked. The breakfast was included and very good. This was at the hotel Iruna, which is part of the same group and is next door.
The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. We asked them for a good restaurant / directions and they were very kind and polite.
The location was fine for Mar del Plata + we were in a tight budget. All this considered, this was a good hotel for the price, especially with breakfast included. However, they certainly need to lower their stars to 2.

It deserves 2 of its 4 stars
To begin with, I want to say that the Presidente is not a bad hotel at all. The problem with it is that it´s advetised as a 4-star hotel, when in Europe it would deserve only 2, or 3 maybe.
This point is clear since your arrival: the hotel´s façade is really awful and makes you desire to run away and look for something better. The lobby is quite big but it hasn´t been updated since the 70´s. Besides, the hotel doesn´t offer any service wich could make it a 4-star: no spa, no pool, no restaurant, little old lifts...
The rooms are also poor for a 4-star hotel. They are reasonably appointed but they´re really tiny. The beds are confortable but there´s no chair or desk, and the rest of the furniture is depressing. Furthemore, my room (faced to the street, on the 4th floor) was very noisy all night long.
The bathroom was quite small and very, very old, and it had some leaks.
The location is great, 1 1/2 blocks from San Martín street (the main comercial area) and about the same distance from the beach. However, the street where it is is really noisy.
The staff is great, very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is OK (offered in the Hotel Iruña, from the same hotel chain) but the dinning room is too busy at some hours.
All in all, the hotel is not bad, but do not expect 4-star facilities and services. It´s just a clean, simple and nice place to stay in a good location at a reasonable price, not more than that. If you want a good hotel in Mar del Plata, you´d better get a room at the Sheraton, the Hermitage, the Costa Galana or Manantiales.

Pésima atención
Tanto la atención, la limpieza y la calidad de las habitaciones no valen el precio. Lo que dan como departamento son 2 habitaciones pequeñas y un baño. El personal después de enviarnos un mail y confirmar un horario de entrada que NO cumplieron nos dejo con 2 criaturas y muchísimo calor esperando más de 2 horas sin ofrecernos siquiera un vaso de agua. Jamás volvería.
