Realy nice hotel

Nice, kind of romantic hotel in the northern part of Germany. Uelzen is a small town with only one point of interest "the Hundertwasser railway station" so the hotel is not situated in a town with a lot of competition of attention but fairly close to Hamburg. The room was clean and of very good standard. The only drawback was that the wifi-connection was weak.

Great local hotel

Stayed here for one night whilst on business in the area and it's a great hotel away from the centre with helpful staff.
Some key points
- you can walk to the local shops and stock up on amenities;
- the in house restaurant is great and offers a great local cuisine;
- bar staff are friendly;
- local park down the road so you can go for a run.
Some minor negatives
- free wifI is great but have to create multiple accounts if connecting more than one device;
- pillows provided are soft ( can ask front desk for a harder one and they get one up to you).
In summary a great local hotel and very competitively priced.

Good Solid Hotel

While some German provincial hotels can be a bit disappointing, this is a nice example of a good small hotel.
The prices are good, the rooms are large, clean and modern and the staff efficient.
I used this place as I was passing thought the area, and it was perfect for my needs.
Only two minor issues, in my subjective opinion:
-Bed was a bit soft for my tastes,
-to access the wifi you have to fill in a form giving quite a lot of personal info (address etc.)

Excellent hotel with friendly staff and great food

We staid at this hotel whilst attending the rheinmetal leader symposium and were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel has some very old and traditional features but with some modern twists. The wifi is free after you register but the negatives here are that you have to register per device and it only seems to work on the bottom floor. The top floor allows you to connect but you cannot open anything as nothing will load.
Check in is easy and efficient and the staff are friendly and helpful. I was very impressed by the quality of the staff and the service received. We sat there one evening until after 11pm and they didn't moan or complain but allowed us to sit there and have dinner and drinks and all. Very good service.
The rooms are clean and spacious and comfortable. You can easily relax and chill out and you have 2 single beds, TV, sofa so you have plenty of room to relax and chill out.
I would definitely stay here again.

Simple but clean and quite

I spent one night at the Deutsche Eiche, and the hotel was nice. Not modern and rich of services, but clean and with a familiar feeling about it. The room was quite ample, clean. The bathroom pretty basic. There is a good restaurant also for breakfast.
Staff very kind and prices really low.
