This family-run hotel and cafe is housed in a beautiful half-timbered building on Brilon’s historic market square, at the start of the Rothaarsteig hiking trail. WiFi is free in all areas of Hotel Café Starke.

Completely satisfied!

A car breakdown on a frosty Sunday night in November led me rather unplanned to Brilon - but luckily I found a wonderful hostel for the night with the Hotel Starke.
The house is located directly on the market in the picturesque city center with its many half-timbered houses and historic buildings. My room was sympathetically straightforward but equipped with great heating, TV and very good shower (very important for me) - and like the whole house tiptop clean and well maintained.
The breakfast buffet offers everything your heart or stomach desires, from scrambled eggs and bacon to fruits and savoury snacks to a wide selection of breads and corresponding toppings.
The whole thing is rounded off by hosts who live and radiate warm hospitality.

Great hotel with great breakfast

We felt very comfortable at Hotel Starke in Brilon. We particularly liked the central location right in the city, the cleanliness throughout the house, the friendly and courteous staff and the delicious breakfast with good selection. Only small point: The rooms are a bit noisy, but this hardly diminishes the positive overall impression. Overall a clear recommendation!

Everything is great here

I had a large single room with lots of light, space and a super comfortable bed. The hotel is very centrally located and the reception was very friendly and everything was uncomplicated. There was a large selection at the breakfast buffet. A milk alternative would have been great. I would definitely come back.

Perfekt hotel!

I have been here already twice and can confirm is a very nice solution for a stay in Briton.
Rooms are very comfortable, warm and clean.
Restaurant as the breakfast buffet are very good.
Staff really kind.
Last time I stayed in a room with big balcony on the main square, very very nice.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt, wo das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Unser Zimmer hatte nostalgischen Charme, war sauber und absolut ausreichend. Das Personal war äußerst zuvorkommend und sympathisch. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ließ keine Wünsche offen.
