Looking for a quiet gem of a hotel in Berlin?!
This is a gem! Tucked away on a quiet street across from the Tiergarten park and Berlin Zoo, Das Stue offers everything one could want in a 5-star hotel. The staff, and I mean EVERY member of the staff, was exceedingly friendly and helpful and patient with my constant requests for water (hey, gotta hydrate!). The space is striking and well-appointed, the dining room is serene and offers top-quality food...especially the breakfast buffet. My room was spacious and featured modern touches and an uber-comfortable bed and pillows. I loved having the spa with a beautiful pool and toasty sauna to sweat out the Berlin nightlife! In sum, you really shouldn't consider anywhere else when you visit Berlin...Das Stue has it all! Cheers to the staff! Best, Chris Caire

Dear guests—our experience with this hotel was downright poor; you can read similar accounts posted by other guests. We were initially hesitant but decided to take a chance because the hotel used to be excellent. I am also baffled by the management's inaccessibility and the way we were given the runaround. Our three-day stay was a major disappointment due to two specific issues: the failure to resolve the air conditioning problems (the room stayed at 25°C even when it was 18°C outside—there is a serious issue here) and the lack of follow-through. I contacted reception on two mornings; both times they promised a solution, but I never heard back. Management was also completely unreachable; I really wonder what they are doing and whether they are even up to the job—their conduct is unacceptable. This is not the standard expected of a 5-star hotel. So, do not go there, despite its ideal location. In short, dear readers: great breakfast, but incompetent management that hides behind the reception staff.

Stylish vibe, exceptional dining, and a tranquil location
Like other SO/ brand hotels, Das Stue leans heavily into a trendy, design-forward aesthetic rather than a classic 5-star atmosphere. The rooms are visually charming and definitely photogenic—complete with fun quirky details like large leather animals—but the rooms sacrifice a bit of functional comfort for the vibe.
Location: At the edge of the Tiergarten is ideal—peaceful and green, yet just a quick walk to the Victory Column and a lovely 25-minute stroll through the woods to the Brandenburg Gate.
Restaurant: The "Carte Blanche" restaurant is outstanding; the dinner vibe is upscale, and the breakfast menu is exceptional.
Team: The staff are all great. Professional, helpful, and friendly.
A great pick if you prioritize a trendy design, walkable location, and great food over traditional hotel layouts.

It's not a simple stay.. it's an experience!!
I usually don't leave reviews but for the Das Stue I feel compelled to make an exception. This hotel exudes history everywhere with a very unique charm. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail with a disarming attention to the guest. A special round of applause to the whole team with a special dedication to Mattia for the passion and professionalism with which he welcomed us from the very first day. From now on, my only go-to hotel in Berlin.

Wonderful staff
I'm so glad that I stayed at this hotel. Location was perfect for me -- a quiet street that entered right into the Tiergarten; room and public spaces were elegant and comfortable. (Great toiletries too!) But what really stood out to me was the excellence of every staff member i interacted with -- to a person, everyone was so kind and truly welcoming.
I've never thought of myself as a zoo person ... but actually, getting to enter it through the hotel, and walking around (it's a great zoo!) was a perfect pre-dinner activity on a nice day.
