Excellent location, staff, food and cocktails!

Just went to the restaurant as it had a beautiful view over the valley and mountain. The location is excellent, the building immaculately maintained and the restaurant staff were very friendly.
The food was excellent and we each had a cocktail, my wife's Strawberry Daikuiri with alcohol and my Mojito was "virgin" as I was the driver. Both cocktails were the best we have in a long time.
Our meals well cooked and presented.

Important Warning About Confusing Accommodation Names in Limpopo

Please be aware that there are two similarly named accommodations in Limpopo: The Ultimate Lodge in Louis Trichardt and The Ultimate in Ga Phasha. If you're unfamiliar with the area, it’s very easy to confuse the two and accidentally book the wrong one.
This issue has occurred multiple times, and both establishments are fully aware of the ongoing confusion. However, it appears to be one-sided—guests who intended to stay at The Ultimate in Ga Phasha often end up mistakenly booking The Ultimate Lodge in Louis Trichardt, not the other way around.
Despite knowing this, The Ultimate Lodge does not make any effort to confirm with guests whether they are booking the correct location. They will allow the booking to go through, send you their terms and conditions, and provide no further communication until it's too late. In my case, I only realized the error upon arriving at the wrong location in Ga Phasha.
There were no reminder emails or messages sent before the check-in date. They only attempted to call late in the evening, after the confusion had already been reported to them by the other accommodation. This reactive behaviour, rather than proactive customer service, is highly disappointing.
Instead of acknowledging the recurring issue or offering any flexibility, they fall back on their booking policy to deny refunds—even partial ones. It feels as though they are taking advantage of a known confusion, operating without transparency, and prioritizing profit over fairness.
My advice:
Double-check the physical address before booking.
Do not rely on the accommodation name alone.
Request confirmation, including the exact location, directly from the property if you’re unsure.
This experience was frustrating and costly. I hope this review helps prevent others from going through the same situation.

We had a wonderful stay. Although the room we booked wasn't available, we were upgraded at no additional charge. The accommodations were very clean, and the staff was friendly. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful.

Beautifully located lodge, but

Basically, the lodge is in an exceptionally beautiful location. Unfortunately, the lodge has changed for the worse since our stay a few years ago. When I arrived, I was told that the bill had not yet been paid. I then showed my bank debit at reception. This shows that I had already paid for the stay 5 months previously. When I checked out, I was then told that everything had been paid. 3 weeks later, I received another invoice by email, which had not been paid. I then sent all the necessary data again by email. Now I am waiting for a response from the lodge. Another negative thing we noticed was a nearby shooting range. We had to listen to shooting all afternoon. It is clear to me that I will never return to this lodge and I cannot recommend it to anyone.
