Apart from the management service, the hotel premises is really not maintained. It is very dirty and needs improvement.

Sterling Darjeeling l A Breathtaking Stay at a Beautiful Heritage Estate
Our family—my wife, our two daughters, and I, just concluded a spectacular holiday at Sterling Darjeeling. Spread across over 6 acres, this property is an absolute beauty. Even though the estate is over 35 years old, it is impeccably maintained, constantly setting new benchmarks, and it completely won our hearts at first sight.
The absolute highlight for us was our room, which offered a direct, uninterrupted view of the majestic Kanchenjunga. Waking up to that scenery was an elated experience. The property is wonderfully equipped for a complete family vacation. They have a gym and a very relaxing spa. We also really appreciated the incredibly convenient on-site shop that houses winter wear like sweaters and puffer jackets, a brilliant addition if you find yourself needing extra warm layers in the Darjeeling weather!
The food was exceptional. Executive Chef and the F&B team perfectly catered to our strict pure vegetarian dietary needs, ensuring all our meals were prepared completely free of mushrooms and eggs, while still serving some of the best dishes we have had.
What truly sets this resort apart, however, is the unmatched hospitality. We received a remarkably warm welcome from the Area Director-NE and GM, Mr. Debaraya Chakraborty (DC) and his team. The deep sense of ownership among the staff was evident in all departments. Receiving repeated comfort check calls from Housekeeping, F&B, and the Front Office made us feel incredibly special. I was particularly struck by seeing DC himself running across corners to help set up the food table; his commitment to serving guests with such a high degree of respect is commendable.
A massive thank you to F&B Manager, Team at Discovery Central (Kids play/ entertainment area) for keeping our girls so happy and engaged at all times, and the entire Housekeeping and Front Office teams. I also want to specifically acknowledge the Silent Heroes, the gardeners, cleaning staff, and gatekeepers, who work tirelessly to keep this massive estate so pristine.
Most importantly, a very special mention goes to DC and the management for championing the Super Heroes at the property. Providing differently-abled individuals with the opportunity to own and excel in their work is deeply touching. It speaks volumes about the inclusive and empathetic culture built here.
The remarkable hospitality and warmth of the entire team made Sterling Darjeeling truly feel like a home away from home. You indeed made our entire trip memorable.
We look forward to many such wonderful stays and highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the region!
