Lovely pub friendly staff great food!

Beautiful fully refurbished pub in a nice location on the outskirts of Cirencester town. Lovely staff, delicious food, refurb of rooms nearly done & they look great! Living on Beeches Road this will be our local, which is terrific! Just go down and support, you won’t regret it. ❤️❤️❤️

Would definitely not recommend, would rather sleep in the car!

A very peculiar check in! Pub not open and was told it wouldn’t open until 6 and then only till 8 only 1 lager and Guinness on tap, all the rest were bottles. No breakfast and definitely no food in the evening. We had the room with the balcony which you had to climb on,new really steep stairs with new wood and my husband got a splinter. The room had a strange old smell, reminiscent of stale furniture. The tv was about 15 x 12 inches. The pillows were the most disgustingy colour of yellow, we didn’t want to check the mattress. I slept in my clothes. Unluckily!! We had a family emergency for which we had to leave before the second night but we were still charged for 2 nights. At £145.00 a night we suggest you look elsewhere and find something a whole lot nicer

Do not make a mistake

This property has so much potential! Be careful with the dates of reviews you read as the inn is in dire need of renovation and cleaning. Our room was tiny. Door didn’t work properly. Shower was rusty. We didn’t even use it. WiFi doesn’t work. No restaurant. All of which are advertised. Worst stay of our trip.

Lovely Winter Stay

Our stay at the Talbot Inn was fantastic. Ann & David were very friendly and accommodating from the minute we arrived.
Rooms are stylish and clean. Parking is ideal too. The location is also a short walk from Cirencester town centre which is our favourite part of the Cotswolds.
This hotel ticked all the boxes and we will definitely be returning.

A little disappointed

We booked The Talbot as we like staying in Pubs for the social aspect but The Pub wasn’t open at all during our visit and suspect it isn’t any longer. The little time we spent with our hosts showed they were very friendly nice people although on arrival we felt we were being dissuaded from booking breakfast. Room 3 was clean and quite large but the steep wooden staircase to reach it was dilapidated and very uncomfortable to climb up and down. Could be a big problem for some people. Bed not particularly comfortable either. Get the impression it is being run down and no longer having any investment in it. Have to say location is great.
