Cosy and wellcomming
We've been at this hotel twice with the whole family, and everyone liked it. They changed some staff and the cheff at the restaurant, and the menu has only gotten better. The kids loved the cozy hotel with it's indoor playground.

Locked out
Disaster!!!! We booked 2 rooms directly with this hotel on 27/2/17 and received a confirmation email. Our booking was for 31//5/17. We notified them that we would be arriving late as our flight was due in at 22.10 hours in Gerona and we were going to hire a car and drive to Viladrau. I sent an email reminding the hotel of our late arrival the day before we travelled. We arrived at midnight (4 women) to find the hotel was all locked up. There was no-one around and no accommodation anywhere.We heard the next day that the hotel closed the week before. Why were we not informed??? This is a remote area - people can't be left high and dry. Who wants to spend the first night of a trip in a car?? Do not book with this hotel.

Didn't even check in !!!!!!
I stopped there after finding this place on a bike ride, I take bike tours all around Spain and this looked promising, I was greeted by two female staff members who were laughing at me , I then had to ask if the place was open ,it seemed as though I had interrupted there cigarette break. I asked for a coffee and was told no food at the moment which was fine , then they came back and said there was food, the coffee and food arrived which was just average ,in the half hour I was there I was not approached once by staff. I was surrounded by cats as I ate , at least the cats were attentive ! I walked over to my bike to get some money and found the cat had jumped onto the table and was eating the food on my table. The staff continued to lie on the sun lounges and were extremely rude and very unhappy that I had interrupted them in order for me to pay . I would be embarrassed to take anybody there for this kind of service, I feel sorry for the owner of this place if this is the service his staff are giving , just disgraceful for a tourist spot.

It took me a while to answer to your review since I wanted to doublecheck with the employees who assisted you during your visit to your hotel.
I'm surprised of the ttitle of your review, since it seems to me you only came to our terrace to order something to eat in the afternoon, with no intentions to check in at all.
The ladies you mentioned, during their afternoon break, served you at the moment you arrived to the terrace, and yes, when you asked for something to eat, they said that the restaurant was closed at that time, but offered you some cake and some other desserts, which you accepted.
It seems to me that you were also joking with the lady who served you, and said goodbye after tipping them.
I regret any invonvenience that it might have caused you, either our staff or the wild cat that came to your table, and has nothing to do with us. I hope you decide to visit us soon again, and will make sure we have your favourite cake available at anytime you arrive in the future to our hotel.

Excelente atención y profesionalidad
En en precioso pueblo de viladrau , un hostal con mucho encanto sin pretensiones , regentado por 4 hermanas y su madre
Atención exquisita y trato amable.
Las habitaciones grandes, luminosas y limpísimas.
El baño amplio y aunque de origen muy bien cuidado , presión de la ducha alta.
Desayuno excelente , con productos de proximidad, embutidos, pan y cocas dulces.
Volveremos , las propietarias nos hicieron sentir como en casa .
Atención exquisita y trato amable.
