I arrived to an almost empty hotel, expecting to get my room a few hours earlier than the official check-in time. Most hotels allow that, if the room is ready - and it clearly was. But they charge money for early check-in, which is just greedy - it costs them nothing, and would actually save them from servicing me twice. So that is an automatic low rating from me.
But, it's at least a good location if you plan to go leave by train.

Shadow away if you can afford something better

Crazy prices in Trondheim a weekend in June, so we ended up here for 2400,- per night. The room was herpa (ugly scratches in the floor, on the wall, cover on the cardholder to activate the light ripped off, only two towel knots in the bathroom of which one was ripped off). No clothes hangers, no hairdryer (mouth picked up at reception). Reading lights only on one side of the double bed. Cold in the bathroom, and not possible to regulate (only the management could do that we got heard). We can see that they have been complaining before. Simple breakfast with three choices, which had to be decided the day before, and picked up at the reception in the morning. The baguette was tough. In the communal area below, where one could sit and eat, the table we sat at was not washed while we were there from Friday to Sunday morning (smalls and marks after spilled drink). Stunning decoration in common areas, including with lots of plastic plants. The staff was angry because not all guests could show IDs (which for some were left in a car parked elsewhere in the city). On the positive side: good bed, clean in the room, the hotel is centrally located right by the train station.

Simple hotel with good location

How to rate a hotel room? From the price? But it's just an expression of demand on the night. And if the option is to sleep on the street, it's worth it anyway. Shortly summarized from the stay:
- 2200 for a double room here one night is a robbery. For that price there should be a higher standard. In periods when prices are low (Max 1000,-/night) this is ok
- Very simple rooms. Bed and bathroom, but clean. Very white and sterile
If you get room on the 1st floor, you can't have the window up at night. Easy to climb in. A passing man stacked his head in when we were there.
- Good location in relation to train station and city centre
- Nice common area within reception
- Nice receptionist

A big mistake stay there, the breakfast is something you must pick up in reception and for the price you pay better try to grab something some where , if you compare this room , breakfast and location for example with Radisson that you only pay 30 euros more is insane the difference! I try this one yesterday and I will never stay again. 185 euros for a room next to the train station where you hear all and with a baguette for breakfast that you must pick up in the reception? 185 euros ?

1. A month before the trip booked a room with views of the fjord. Got room facing the road and restaurant on the other side, option on complaint: room still 1 floor, 2 meters from the railway! Adding a picture of my fantastic fjord view (irony, if you're in doubt)
2. The bathroom stinks of sewage, and the light sensor was so placed that the light turned off in the middle of a quick shower.
The plug in the sink I had to keep open when I used the sink, so that the water would run away!
If they have the last room available next time they go to Trondheim, they will come again! And you, the one who complains the usual, shall myji t!
