THE MORNING HAS GOLD IN ITS MOUTH...

This hotel, located in the center of Badia Prataglia, is the ideal place to spend a couple of weeks and maybe write a book immersed in the garden overlooking the balcony in front of the ancient Benedictine abbey of the tenth century.
The rooms are 70s but well cleaned, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms a little 'narrow but without great pretensions I must say I found myself well.
The patina of a past time that you breathe in these environments conveys a deep sense of humanity. Nothing transcendental but the tranquility of this hotel leads to a better understanding of the importance of mutual respect that often seems forgotten in the hectic society in which we live.

A delicious dinner

Characteristic hotel in the center of Badia Prataglia. Rooms 70s, clean and with comfortable beds. For dinner we had tagliatelle with mushrooms, grilled turkey, mixed side dishes, all with good Sangiovese and digestive wine. Very friendly and animal-loving handler, he had just taken a Border Collie puppy named Kira. Structure always open and receptive.

Disappointing

Icy rooms, no color TV, bathroom with inaccessible window, floods when you shower, not a chair in the room, double made with two single beds, just enough dinner and breakfast only packaged sweets and very scruffy structure , clean sheets.

A blast from the past, even for those who had not lived it

Probably in the 70s this hotel with its 50 rooms was the main reference point for those who wanted to stay in Badia Prataglia.
Located in the center of the village is characterized by its size and its garden.
The managers and staff are very kind and friendly, the meals are good and handmade. The rooms are clean and like all the rooms, they still have the decor of a time that characterizes the environments.
This hotel will give a blast from the past to all those seeking a bit of tranquility in a wonderful setting that only the Casentino forests can offer.
We will definitely return preferring it to other structures in the area, all valid, because this hotel definitely has something more 'that distinguishes it.

A place from another time

The guesthouse is in the center of Badia with space to park your car (and a large public car park in the immediate vicinity).
The staff is very kind.
At the guesthouse it seems as if time has stopped. The furnishings are those I saw as a child when I went on holiday with my parents.
That said, the rooms are clean and the bed was really comfortable!
Although it is located in front of the town church we were not disturbed by the bells.
Excellent starting point for tackling the different paths that wind from the town.
