Beautiful Grounds, Spacious Rooms

I had my wedding in Karaikudi and about 40 westerners stayed in Thappa Gardens. It was a nice venue, with well kept rooms and really pretty grounds. The staff was receptive and helpful, though the English at the hotel wasn't great if that is something that you need. Would recommend for anyone in the Karaikudi area

Wonderful stay

It was a lovely experience to stay in traditional chettinad house atmosphere. They most delicious and traditional food possible in this region!
There was renovation going on during our stay there so things might be better now. The rooms could be maintained better as we found lizards on bed, they do leave stains.

Good sized rooms

Nice locale. The rooms were very spacious and were in chettinald style. The staff were attentive and helpful. The surrounding areas were well maintained. Wifi access was good and the complimentary breakfast was good.

Very good stay

We liked the hotel very much it was very good rooms very spacious built in chettinad style lot of nature went birdwatching nice hotel good taste I liked giant chess set in reception staff very helpful bought things o n time good job

Highly over priced, poor food and service

Rooms are good and clean but restaurant has limited choice. We wanted to have some local chettinad delicacies but no local food was available. They only had North Indian food which was not authentic. Also food was over priced and staff very bad.
