Fantastic place to relax

Relaxing atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, spotlessly clean, fantastic food. Received a warm welcome even though we arrived on motorbikes, started our stay with very enjoyable "kaffe und kuchen" and it simply got better. Will definitely visit again!

Very good cuisine poor service mediocre stay

The Wolzegarte estate is very nicely located. Hardly accessible by public transport, however. The rooms are beautifully coloured and purist. The breakfast buffet is great and the heat kitchen really (!) delicious. These are the positives...
Staying in winter spoils the fact that the conservatory is not heated as a relaxation room. According to the staff, "it's never been possible" other guests report that there used to be underfloor heating. On request there are "as many blankets as are there" and then you rest at 16 degrees in December or try to get one of the 6 loungers around the pool. But these are urgently needed by families with children. It is a family retreat only unfortunately without bathing equipment (diving rings or) for children... The sauna is large and is right next to the pool: Advantage / disadvantage you hear everything from the pool. The showers are more designed for the swimming pool, cold water hose for the sauna is missing... In my opinion, it is inappropriate that all persons who come out of the men's locker room inevitably look straight ahead through the glass door of the sauna. As a result, a spa area, but not inviting to linger. The service staff are trying but obviously overwhelmed: forgotten table reservations, when there are no more glasses at the "self-service bar fridge" you are taught that you have only a few glasses. Aha. And then ad hoc the reserved food is cancelled on New Year's Day (morning for breakfast) with the suggestion that the guest can look for restaurants on the Internet or ask for a snack in the kitchen. Interesting attitude on the subject of service at the price of the hotel. I can not recommend a stay.

Great expectations, however disappointed

We stayed here for two nights. Gutshof Woldzegarten has fine facilities (an in-door pool, a relaxing lounge, out-door seating) and a surprisingly good restaurant both for breakfast and dinner. However, it is a bit pretentious to claim this to be a small paradise. The atmosphere was very and too formal and we did not experience any personal services either on arrival or later on. Wi-Fi did not work in the rooms (not only ours) and was even very slow in the lounge area – needs to be updated for guests here in 2015.This hotel is not located near to the national park area and prepare for transport time to go there, if that is what you want.

You described our house as fine with surprisingly good restaurant. Thanks for this compliment.
We call our Gutshof "a small paradise", because paradise (for us) means a place where you find nature, silence and good food. The essentials for a "forget all-the-stress-and-come-back to-basics"-weekend. In combination with the convenience of a hotel we are sure we can call it "a small paradise".
Absolutely correct -and we are very sorry for it!-: our wlan is slow and it is not working properly in the guest rooms. We tried very hard to change it. In some booking portals in the web it is still said that we have wlan all over the place. We also want to get rid of these description but unfortunately (and unbelievably) we hardly managed to do so..
Now (Oct. 2016) we start again with this special theme. First we have to install electrical facilities in the whole ground at Gutshof area in order to have better internet access within the Gutshaus.
Unfortunately we can't promise that it will work out so that you have access all over our Gutshof-area.
That´s just how it is: Our silent paradise is on the countryside and the internet access is not comparable with the internet access in cities.

Schönes kleines Hotel mit super Küche

Der Gutshof Woldzegarten ist ein recht kleines Hotel mit hervorragender Küche. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und sauber. Es ist alles hell und freundlich. Schön in der Natur gelegen eignet es sich auch super für einen Urlaub mit dem Hund

Große Enttäuschung

Wir sind sehr enttäuscht von unserem Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Eine unangenehme und beinahe unfreundliche Atmosphäre. Die Dame an der Rezeption war alles andere als empathisch. Das Frühstück war sehr mager. Brötchen und Rührei gab es in der „2. Schicht“ ab 9.15 Uhr nicht mehr, der Orangensaft ist vielleicht mal an einer Orange vorbeigelaufen und das überteuerte Abendessen glänzte durch rohe Kartoffelstückchen im Kartoffelbrei. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, das war es aber auch. Ich bin durch diverse Dienstreisen in vielen Hotels gewesen, die mit 3 Sternen mehr Service und Qualität geboten haben. Wir kommen bestimmt nicht wieder..
