Everything very outdated. And way too expensive for what you get.

Everything very outdated. Booked 4 rooms with King beds and one had 2 single beds owner said sorry but we are fully booked. This "hotel" is really over the date. This would require very, very thorough renovation.
Rooms worthless the breakfast against that was good.

Health hazard instead of hotel stay – never again!

I stayed at the Hotel Arnoldsklause in Arnoldsweiler (room 101) for business from 12.08.25 to 17.08.25. It is a need for me to describe my experiences here clearly so that other travellers are warned.
Conditions in the room:
As soon as you entered the room, it became clear that this hotel did not meet minimum standards. I documented everything with photos:
Black mold in the shower – gross for every person, an acute health hazard for me as an asthmatic.
Dirty walls that obviously haven't been cleaned or painted in a long time.
Rusty heating that is unhygienic and hazardous to health.
Broken tiles, tripping hazard included.
Overall an unkempt, run-down and unsanitary room that should never have been rented out in this state.
Hotel reaction:
When I reported the serious shortcomings, I hoped for at least some accommodation or professionalism. Instead, I was told literally on the phone:
“Listen. Talk to someone else about it. Bye!”
and then they just hung up.
I have never experienced such disrespectful and dismissive treatment towards paying guests in all my years on business trips.
Consequences and legal action:
Due to the health hazard and the clearly unacceptable conditions, I ended the stay immediately. All evidence is documented. I will inform the Düren Health Office and the Consumer Centre NRW. I am also taking legal action to recover the full booking price.
My conclusion:
This “hotel” is a prime example of how to scare away guests.

Absolutely dubious in dealing with complaints
I strongly advise against spending even one night in this house. Those who book here risk their health and are left alone in case of doubt. Other hotels in the area offer worlds more quality, cleanliness and Service for the same price.
For me it's clear: Never again – and I can only advise anyone who reads this entry: Do yourself a favor and find another place to stay.

Unreliable, lying hotel owner, thief

I can't believe it. Boekte via Agoda.com. Three personal names with king of 12 years. Arriving I suddenly had to pay extra 40 euros for the two nights.Amount was because in the booked triple room a second bed had to be put for my daughter. Apparently you book a room for three people where all three must sleep in one bed. Otherwise, you have to pay extra. While protesting, I finally wanted to pay the 40 euros when the owner (woman) of the hotel refused my money and also refused me the room. At my wits' end I left the hotel. The wife wouldn't give me any evidence that said she refused to take my money either. Complained to Agoda as well as to Paypal because I paid via Paypal. Never got my money back.
I can only say you can take all the hotels in the world but stay away from them.

A true imposition

To anticipate it directly: The only positive thing about this hotel was the friendly reception at check-in.
Already in the entrance area, a strong air freshener smell struck me, which intensified in the room and resulted in a rapid surge ventilation.
In the room I found a small desk, the drawer of which almost fell apart when pulled out. Broken wooden panels in the ceiling, strange stains on the wall and a dusty kettle with old water completed the picture.
The bathroom, which was the only one that made a clean impression, revealed an unpleasant surprise on closer inspection: a huge black stain that definitely wasn't part of the wall design. Probably black mold. Breakfast looked good at first glance, but partially expired food, inedible coffee and boiled eggs that could have been drunk caused disillusionment.

Good price performance near Düren

This is an older place with rather older rooms and furniture. Good place to stay overnight near Düren. On a private basis
I would not want to book that again but a good option staying for one night; there is a bar and restaurant in the evening and a nice breakfast in the morning.
