We were received very nicely, queries were answered immediately , small “problems” solved and eliminated immediately
On the first evening the small beer tasting was a nice thing
A second pillow and a second room key were no problem
Dealing with guests was very friendly and straightforward, nice conversations at any time
The food was very good — we had half board - very tasty
recommendations for the stay we have received

Once and never again Hotel Goldner Löwe
We had booked a room via Animod and the reservation was also confirmed by Animod. But the Hotel Goldner Löwe did not confirm the room. Therefore, the room was not booked and we had to leave again because the hotel was also fully booked. The handling at the hotel was more than shameful.
It turned out that the hotel messed up the room reservation. But they blame us as the customer, saying we should not have arrived at all.
I recommend that the hotel perhaps do some training with its own booking system before handing out blame to the customer.
After a 6-hour journey and a brewery tour beforehand, this was more than disappointing. The next day was a public holiday and all other hotels in the area were also fully booked. However, we eventually managed to find accommodation on our own.
We are now stuck with the additional hotel costs, but the hotel denies any wrongdoing. I therefore cannot recommend the hotel and will also look for other accommodation for our club trip with 20 people.
I prefer to support hotels that actually care about their customers and not ones that do not care about the customer at all. Traditional hotel or not.

Good for one or two days, not recommended for longer.
Hotel check-in is at 3:00 PM; until then, the hotel is locked. We were there 1 hour early and could not use the restroom.
The waitresses handled the check-in. The reception was never staffed.
Room cleaning had to be requested.
The room was very small; there were indeed 2 chairs, but one was standing in the corner next to the door, and there was no room anywhere else.
The breakfast was OK, the dinner more like cafeteria food. Thuringian specialties were only recognizable by the name on the menu. Sauerkraut and salads came from a can, partly tasteless and too sour. As a native Thuringian, I had also expected Thuringian dumplings.
The benches and tables in the courtyard could not be called a beer garden. Drinks had to be fetched via self-service through hallways and several doors.
At checkout, there was again no one at the reception; throw the room key into a box and that was it.
There was little positive, but the staff was friendly, the hotel clean, and sufficient hotel parking available.

“I have rarely experienced such an unfriendly hotel. Unfortunately, as a guest you do not feel welcome at all, but rather unwanted. The handling tone was repeatedly unfriendly and unservice-oriented. Unfortunately, for us, it was a very disappointing experience – so no recommendation.”

Absolutely underground.
Poor food quality - have completely avoided the remaining meals.
Friendliness of the staff... except for one blonde lady at breakfast who was really extraordinarily friendly, the rest of the staff is at most to be regarded as disrespectful.
Environmental friendliness has probably not yet arrived here. I've never found so much plastic in any other hotel in the world.
