Overnight at Aalborg
Stayed overnight at this Hotel before heading off to Skagen. Super clean and cozy rooms with a comfortable temperature setting (outside was minus 4 deg C).
Staff was super welcoming and courteous (Special Shout out to Ms Maria).
The Hotel is right opposite the Airport terminal and barely had to walk 200 meters to its entrance. It has a Small restaurant on the Ground Floor serving Breakfast and Dinner. Breakfast was Buffet style with a decent spread; reservation is required for Dinner and the A La Carte menu was diverse and the quantity was enough for Two people.
Overall loved the experience

Stupid room - literally!
Stool on the wall!!
There were stools on the wall of the bathroom as well as several unidentified spots on the bedside, gavel and other furniture.
I made the reception attention to the problem, but was told that the hotel was fully booked and that I had to submit a complaint by email.
As compensation I was offered a discount on a future stay - Just think I thank you no

Well located close to airport with easy access to Aalborg by bus. Self check in a little strange, but staff on hand to help. I would stay again.

expensive parking buses in the hotel car park, drunken guests & overwhelmed staff
We spent one night in October 2025 at Aalborg Airport Hotel. We arrived late in the evening and parked directly at the hotel in the signaled hotel parking lot. The hotel was informed about our late arrival and as the reception was already closed we used the self-check-in. The room was a bit musty but still in the sufficient area. The location was kind of cool for one night. Then in the morning the nasty surprise: On the window of our rental car stuck a parking bus worth 875 DKK (24h parking at Aalborg airport costs 4 DKK). We asked the hotel staff for help, explaining that we were not informed that we should have bought a ticket somewhere at night and that we had assumed (and we have been to many hotels) that hotel guests are allowed to park in the hotel car park. Unfortunately, the hotel staff did not respond to us at all and did not even begin to show the willingness to tell us about this inconsistency. We've been brushed off and ignored. That morning, long before 10 a.m., some obviously very drunk and alcohol-smelling guests were in the hotel lobby, ordering beer and vodka again and again. This picture and the lack of understanding that a hotel like the Aalborg Airport Hotel is unable to eliminate such a misunderstanding for the benefit of guests is strange and far from customer-friendly. Which is why I'm writing this post only now- six months later- We tried to challenge the buses via Q-Park’s online form and set up a detailed, time-consuming letter. The answer 6 months later: You have to pay!

fine for one night
The hotel is immediately opposite the terminal, so impossible to miss, though I arrived on a foggy night and actually didn’t see the hotel sign until a local pointed it out to me in what seemed to be ‘the distance’ (only 200 m)! The rooms and furnishings were quite comfortable, though some carpets were a bit stained and one of the reading lights over the bed in my room was ‘dangling’ a little dangerously; so I slept on the other side. Breakfast was rather standard and basic for Scandinavia, but wasn’t included in my booking.com room rate. This may make sense for some travellers with a very early departure. There was a checkin agent to go through the electronic formalities with me, but I fear the day when hotels like this are fully automated and traveling is no longer a human experience at all. One nice touch was that the hotel has a borrow or replace library for guests. For late arrivals your dining options seem to be a blank. Good bus and train connections to other places in Denmark, so a good place for a stopover if travelling at odd hours.
