This small but nice health and wellness hotel in Schärding on the Inn River offers its guests individual attendance by a professional staff. Our hotel is superbly equipped and enjoys an idyllic location in a quiet, green oasis, yet is very close to the centre of Schärding. In addition to its comprehensive health and wellness programmes, the hotel stands out for its excellent cuisine. On the day of departure you can use the spa area until 18:00 at a surcharge of EUR 15 per person. Disclaimer notification: Amenities are subject to availability and may be chargeable as per the hotel policy.

Feel-good oasis
No review, no matter how positive, can do justice to this house and the people who live and work in it.
The Gugerbauer team is a family, a togetherness on every level, into which every guest is warmly and joyfully welcomed for the duration of their stay.
The boss and his wife are present as team members at all times, lend a hand where necessary, and are there for their guests.
Every guest is and remains an individual personality whose wishes and concerns are respected and addressed.
I have type II diabetes, which I still have under control thanks to a sensible diet and plenty of exercise - I do not take any medication. It is easy to implement my "sophisticated" nutritional concept during my stay at the health hotel Gugerbauer. My nutrition plan for my fasting week is tailored to my needs in a personal consultation and made possible for me by the excellent kitchen team.
I feel well taken care of and looked after here.
In this wonderful house, there is always a lot of beauty to discover for all the senses. It is artistically furnished - and I mean that just as I say it.
Every corner, inside and in the outdoor area, bears witness to an appreciation of art and a great love for detail. This house is furnished in a stylish, tasteful, and loving manner - light-flooded and pleasantly air-conditioned.

Excellent - unfortunately with one minus.
It was a wonderful week in a beautiful house. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I was particularly impressed by the tasteful furnishings with numerous works of art, which give the house a very special character and a pleasant atmosphere.
Unfortunately, my enthusiasm was somewhat dampened the day before departure. Apparently, day guests are also accepted. In principle, that is of course understandable, but from my point of view, it does not fit well with the concept of a fasting hotel. When hotel guests seeking relaxation – predominantly of middle and older age – share the wellness area with families and children, the quiet atmosphere suffers. In the textile-free sauna area, I also find the presence of children to be inappropriate.
Especially in this price category, I expect the focus to be consistently on the actual target group – the fasting guests and those seeking relaxation. This point actually makes me consider whether I will book the hotel again. Too bad, because up to that point the stay was excellent in every respect.

Umso mehr bedauere ich, dass Ihr Aufenthalt am Ende durch diese Situation getrübt wurde. Dafür möchte ich mich bei Ihnen entschuldigen.
Gerne möchte ich den Hintergrund kurz erklären: An diesem Freitag und Samstag war mein Bruder mit seiner Familie bei uns zu Besuch. Er kommt mit seinem dreijährigen Sohn nur etwa zwei Mal im Jahr zu uns und nutzt dann gelegentlich auch den Wellnessbereich. Mir ist bewusst, dass dies für Gäste, die Ruhe und Erholung suchen, ungewohnt sein kann.
Grundsätzlich ist mein Haus ausschließlich auf Fasten- und Erholungsgäste ausgerichtet. Kinder gehören daher nicht zu unserem Hotelalltag. Dass Sie genau während dieses Familienbesuchs bei uns waren, war ein unglücklicher Zufall.
Besonders schade finde ich, dass Sie mich oder mein Team am nächsten Tag nicht persönlich darauf angesprochen haben. Ich nehme Rückmeldungen meiner Gäste sehr ernst und hätte die Situation gerne direkt mit Ihnen besprochen. Ich bin überzeugt, dass wir gemeinsam eine für Sie zufriedenstellende Lösung gefunden oder zumindest den Hintergrund erklären hätten können.

Being in the river
For the first time a week of fasting - and from many quarters we were recommended this hotel. We can only join in. Fasting only at Gugerbauer.
The care is really sensational. We had booked Saturday to Saturday. It began with a 1.5 hour fasting introduction. From Monday then full fasting until Thursday - and no feeling hungry. We were so fit - physically and mentally. The hotel offers plenty of exercise sessions. The tea room with tea bar is a place of relaxation. The organization of the hotel is really amazing. So many SPA treatments - many guests - and no hassle with the staff. Everyone's in sleep mode. Pure deceleration. Wellness area with various saunas, pool, relaxation room. A gym is also available.
Lots of valuable information/tips for after fasting week. Friday at noon breaking fast. Saturday after lunch (basic) - then we go home.
For us, only one fasting hotel is possible: Gugerbauer

Great hotel! Top team!
Our stay at the health hotel Gugerbauer was incredibly beautiful, relaxing and recommendable in every respect. The entire team including the boss of the house are always looking after the guest's well-being, very attentive, very friendly. What also needs to be mentioned extra is the excellent cuisine!!! My husband and I will definitely come back!
