Most pleasant stay
The property is clean. Location is good in that it is a reasonable walk to the old town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Staff is polite and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Calla.

Bitterly disappointing.
What didnt work for us was the aircon was very faulty, noisy and the lights on it at night whilst sleeping meant we had to put on eye masks. Our sleep pattern was poor. They covered the aircon lights with black duct tape but then we couldn't see the temp of the aircon. Considering it was 40 degrees every day or more this was not acceptable. The beds were noticeably hard making it difficult to get to sleep. The breakfast was a non starter in a dismal front room full of washing machines. Breakfast was not a buffet, it was merely 1 choice of dish and a cup of tea, what you might expect in a rundown hostel. After 2 breakfasts, we gave up eating breakfast as we could easily get better food on the street. This place was so rundown it was unbelievable. The location was ok but more like a 10 minute walk to the old quarter rather than the stated 4 minutes. The swimming pool was nice. We complained many times to no avail and believe me, we are not picky. I cannot in all honesty, recommend this place as an enjoyable experience. We were so disappointed.

decent hotel, spoiled by theft
Where to start.. Firstly room was clean and comfortable, lady at reception very friendly and helpful, gave us great “things to do/where to go” advice. However when we reached our next destination we discovered over £500 of cash (mix of singapore dollars, US dollars and Thai Baht) was missing. The only time the money had left our person was the evening before we left, when we left the wallets in our room in a case. We contacted the hotel who initially told us CCTV showed us locking the room and taking key with us. However later on they said the CCTV wasn’t working!! We stayed in a ground floor family room, the main door was immediately opposite reception. A patio door in the rear opened on to pool area and had a euro style lock with a turnknob on the inside. As we didn’t unlock this door I don’t know whether it is unlockable from outside. Very disappointed with hotels response, which was polite but unhelpful. I appreciate the theft is unfortunate for them too, but security seems to be given little thought. There are reports on facebook of similar issues with other hotels in the area just be aware!

Wonderful hotel, staff, and location!
My cousin and I were traveling through Vietnam and both stayed at the Calla Hotel. We had the best experience! Rooms are clean and beautiful, we had a room with two twin beds and it was great for us. Lovely balconies off of the rooms. Great shower. And always so clean! The receptionist at the front desk, Ms. Katy was so sweet. Was always so accommodating and just had the most warming smile. Very good at communicating as well with booking or changing anything, such as a late check out.
We stayed here for 3 nights in Hoi An. It was a great location because it was right off of the main streets but quieter since it wasn’t in the middle of everything. About a 10 minute walk to be in the middle of the walking streets, also very close to the bridges to go to the old quarter. So a quick walk or if we were in a rush just caught a Grab bike and would be there in about 2 minutes.
For the price and service it was wonderful. We even had our laundry done at the spa next door and became friendly with them. It felt so homey walking home to our hotel and having people know you and wave and then going in and being welcomed by Ms. Katy. I will definitely be coming back here, maybe even for a longer term stay.
We left Hoi An to go to Da Nang for two nights, ended up only staying for one and going back to the Calla. Hoi An and this hotel were are favorites. Price wise and quality, cannot compete.
