Great family hotel

Great family hotel lots of activity for kids and adults the staff is very friendly and helpful we meet Su a girl who work there as activities and entertainment she was lovely my kids make a great time there

Poor customer service

I’m due to stay at Well Palace Side very soon and, unfortunately, I’m already quite concerned about the level of customer service.
I have sent several emails to the hotel with questions and requests regarding my upcoming stay, but I have not received a response. I understand that hotels can be busy, but when you are travelling with children and have important questions before your arrival, it is very disappointing not to receive any acknowledgement at all.
I’m particularly concerned because I have tried contacting the hotel several times and have received no reply. Good communication before a guest even arrives is really important and gives you confidence that you will be looked after during your stay.
I’m hoping that the experience at the hotel itself will be much better and that this is simply an issue with their email/customer service system. However, at the moment, I am genuinely worried about arriving without having received answers to my questions.
I will update this review after my stay and hopefully I will be able to give a much more positive review based on the actual experience at the hotel.

VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Me and my daughter arrived at the hotel 22.30h. tired, exhausted , thirsty and hungry after all day travelling. At the reception said because at the moment the hotel is full your room for stay 14 nights is not available and you have to stay for 2 nights in a room that is not the best room for you. I said all right I will survive for 2 nights. When the man help with the suitcase and bring us to the room that was miles away passing people drinking on the tables, crossing bridges (up and down)walking through corridors and then finally the lift ,the man press button number -1 level. When we arrive to the room he asked for my card to open the room for me. We went inside and I saw 1 double bed, no chair, a balcony that looks like a box and we you look up you can hear the tourist walking and talking and you are under them as a punishment from the hotel instead of welcome to our hotel. Because the hotel is overbooked, they put the customers in a that room(it looks as a garage)because of their mistakes to overbooked the hotel. The man who bring us to the room press the button for air conditioner and discovered that does not working, then he ask me for euros because of his help. When he goes we wanted to go for a dinner not in a main restaurant because is shut, but in a snack bar but ONE BIG BUT -The door did not wanted to lock because it was broken. I went in a bathroom to wash my hands -no warm water for ages to come, then I tried the shower for warm water and shower was broken, the water could not came out properly. We have been in a room which did not lock ,no warm water, no working shower, no working air conditioner and no balcony. hen I receive a call from a reception that they know I have no air conditioner and I will have a new room but I have to go after breakfast to the reception to ask or remind for new room. we went in bed without dinner and no breakfast because of the door. Very rude and arrogant manager receptionist.14 days very disappointed. I have been to 18 countries and Turkey was my worst experience.

Great Hotel

Stayed at Well Palace for two weeks and overall we were impressed with this hotel. Having read some negative reviews we were a bit worried about our holiday. Our rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard. There are areas and rooms that are a bit worn, but the upkeep in general is acceptable The pools and slides were great and never a problem getting beds. Food offering - very similar to all-inclusive restaurants we've been to in Turkey previously - good food but repetitive. Our only negative was offering for vegetarian - yes there was plenty of salad and bread and cheeses. However hot dishes were few and far between - some nights they had lovely dishes on which would make beautiful veggy main courses but mincemeat was added to them. Also, the A'la carte restaurants do not cater for vegetarian at all, our vegetarian was told to go and pick off the buffet, whilst they served the rest of us. Not a nice experience at all. Drinks all good and great bar staff in fact all the staff were great, friendly, helpful and professional. Animation team - so they changed after we had been there 5 days - not sure what happened to old team, but they didn't appear to be entertaining at all - one just spent the day times pushing the t-shirts for the kids. The new team came across a bit amateur at first but you can see it improving each day and they are a great bunch of fun people, Really hope they have a good summer as you can really tell they are trying hard to make it exciting for all. In a nutshell - we would return and a few tweaks would make this hotel amazing. Great location for bus stops - but if shopping is your thing there is shops every where close by. Thank you once again - we would return in the future.

Budget friendly hotel- 3 ⭐️

We went as a family of 5 adults and three from the 16th- 21st July. We landed late and arrived at the hotel for 1:30am, check in was smooth and was told our rooms were ready. Once we got to our room we realised 2 of the rooms were not what we had booked, they were much smaller one only had a double bed and a travel bed. The other room was only a double bed, we explained how are three people meant to sleep on one double bed and to top it up the key to that room wasn’t working, we had to wait 15-20mins for them to open the door. Reception then said they will send a travel bed for the third room which we waited until 3.30am for.
Anyway we woke up the next morning hoping to speak to reception after breakfast. The manager was very kind but explained the hotel was fully booked and we would have to wait another night until we can be upgraded. There was no other option so we agreed. The upgraded rooms were much more spacious and had a pool side view.
Overall the food was very average, we’ve been to other hotels in Side before and this by far was the most average. Breakfast and lunch at the beach were great, we only had lunch from the pool once but by far was better than any of the dinners. Dinner on most days was the same, a lot rice, grilled chicken and bread, which became boring by night 3. The lady making the gozlemes by the pool were amazing, the kids loved the gozlemes. The cafe would remain open until 10pm which was great, they did lovely drinks. The hotel doesn’t do any theme nights at all, we expected there at least to be a Turkish night.
The hotels cleanliness was good but could have been better in certain areas. I noticed the room cleaners took long to come and clean, sometimes they wouldn’t clean your room until midday.
The entertainment is almost non existence, they don’t do much considering it’s holidays and they can do a lot more with the kids. During our visit it was the World Cup we expected them to do an event but they did nothing only showed the match on the projector. On the final day they did the kids disco which everyone joined.
The most enjoyable part was the pool and the staff, the pool was amazing and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Also the hotel is in a great location for shopping, the shops near are really food every night we would go for a walk to the nearby shops.
Overall it was time well spent at a budget friendly hotel, which was average but was proportionate against the price we paid in peak time. Would we come here again? Definitely not as the food and entertainment let it down for us.
