A great Sanctuary visit

We are residents living in nearby Hua Hin and decided to check out a stay here after hearing about it on our local radio station Surf Radio. We booked a one night stay at the Double Forest View room together with the morning and afternoon sanctuary tour. We drove about 40 minutes to arrive before the morning tour at 10am. As you arrive you are greeted by staff and registered for the tour. The tour started promptly at 10am and began with a short presentation in a briefing room featuring an introduction to the sanctuary and history behind the rescued animals. We then boarded a small open tour bus and proceeded on the morning walking tour of the primates and other animals. Point to note here is please bring a water bottle which can be filled up at the reception as it is really hot! Also make sure you have a nice sun hat and apply sun tan lotion - a small fan is a good idea too! Good walking shoes or trainers are a must too on the dusty roads.
We then took a break for lunch from noon to 1pm and set off for the afternoon tour of the big cat centre featuring tigers, leopard etc and lastly the elephants where we fed one elephant water melon at the end.
The afternoon tour was mainly in the bus.
The food and the staff were great and we highly recommend a visit. The room was air conditioned and comfortable with an outdoor shower and in the middle of it all with sights and smells of the animals.

Waking up to elephants trumpeting and singing gibbons

Very nice hotel. Nice rooms, good restaurant, nice pool. But the best thing is that you sleep in an environment where elephants, monkeys, bears etc. are taken care of. All animals with a terrible story who get greenhouses here to recover and have a good life.
Where does the trumpeting of elephants and singing gibbons wake you up in Thailand? A great experience!

Excellent accommodation in beautiful place

Fantastic experience. Stay among the elephants and gibbons. Neat accommodation with lovely pool. Great food on nice terrace at excellent restaurant. Highly recommended!

An emotional & uplifting experience

Go and stay, you will absolutely love it, we booked directly a private 2 bed bungalow with own pool it was stunning, very comfortable and open. Transfers from our resort in Hua Hin arranged for us to enjoy the afternoon listening to the monkeys and elephant spotting. Ate in the restaurant in the evening, extensive menu to suit all. Breakfast in the morning was buffet and enough choice. Full days tour broken up with lunch and a feed of the elephants at the end.

UNIQUE, REALLY EVERY ANIMAL THAT IS RESCUED IS TAKEN CARE OF AND PUT BACK INTO NATURE IF POSSIBLE!

This natural setting where we stayed at the I love Phants Lodge was incredible! The view overlooking the Elephants and the winding Gibbons immediately impressed. The day tour is even more impressive;
You see animals that have been rescued, you are taken into their stories and you see how the welfare of the animals is at the top!
The goal is to bring an animal back into nature. If this is no longer possible, they may stay in a natural environment!
Thanks to Edwin Wiek who started this 24 years ago, together with a permanent team, all volunteers, sponsors and the WFFT.
