Ottima Guest House

Great room large, functional and clean. The clean tiled bathroom with underfloor shower (no shower tray) with efficient drainage. Great breakfast tea, fruit omlettes, local dishes .. Location, great for visiting Sigirya about 1 km and close to various restaurants. Air conditioner with adjustable swimg so you do not have cold air in your head. Highly recommended

Great accommodation with friendly and helpful owners.

This villa was a delight to stay in. Extremely clean, great location and the owners were great. Helped us organise our trips to Sigirya Rock, Dambulla Cave and getting to the train station. The owners were extremely pleasant which really made our stay. The villa is close to two very good restaurants and a short Tuktuk ride/walk to the main part of the village. Breakfast was also very good. I would stay here again. Thanks!

My happy place at Harini Villa

I've just had the most amazing 3 day stay at the family run Harini Villa. It's situated a 5 min walk from the main Junction bus stop & restaurants & it's lovely & peaceful. The room itself was perfect & spotless with a lovely patio area at the front where I had an amazing breakfast while watching the birds & monkeys. Breakfast was made & served by Dinu & it was delicious. Dinu took care to accommodate my request for gluten free food which I'm very grateful for. She also introduced me to a new dish each day (in addition to what else I was served). I had lovely chats with Wicky the owner, he was very attentive & made sure I had everything I needed & was comfortable. Pathum took me on a trip to Polonnaruwa & was a safe & efficient driver & he also made a suggestion to add in a trip to the Spice garden on the way back, which was very enjoyable.
All up I would highly recommend staying at Harini - the beautiful & kind family will look after you. I hope that one day I will be able to stay here again - thankyou so much for looking after me!

One night stay

Stayed here one night and was very happy with the place. We were served a tasty breakfast with hoppers, string hoppers, dahl etc. Room was clean and so was the wash room. Ac is there if needed.
Also very friendly staff making for a nice stay

Outstanding service and comfort

What a gem! The two rooms at Harini Villa are sparkling clean and new with comfortable beds, much appreciated AC and large bathrooms. Each room has a little patio overlooking the garden with table and chairs where meals are served. The guesthouse is located down a pretty, little side street so it's really quiet but still in walking distance to several restaurants, and Sigiriya Rock is only about 2 km away.
Wicky, the owner, his son Dinu, and daughter Nuwan are the ultimate hosts. Arriving in the late afternoon, Wicky immediately drove us to the entrance of Sigiriya Rock with his tuktuk so we could get there by sunset. He gave us his business card so we could call him for pick-up when we were finished. How great is that! On our other two days, Dinu drove us to Dambulla Cave Temples and Polonnaruwa. On our departure day, he drove us to Anuradhapura. It was so awesomely convenient.
Breakfasts were amazing and plentiful and there was always something new to try each morning. Nuwan made a curry dinner for us on one night and it was exceptional, plus so pleasant to eat it on our little porch.When we arrived back at the guesthouse, hot and tired after an excursion, we were always treated to tea or fruit juice and some sweets.
This friendly family really knows service and have created a very special guesthouse at great value.Thank you Wiki and family! We are so sorry to hear about the attacks in Sri Lanka. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
