A hidden gem in Hanthana
Beautiful and a peaceful place located at the end of the road, right next to forest. The villa was very well maintained, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. The host was incredibly friendly and went out of his way to make sure we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. We loved our time at Hanthana Villa and want to visit again.

Will not recommend
Owners were very good breakfast was very good. but we didnt like the room it does not match with the pictures. When u go to balcony u dont see nice mountain views as shown in the pictures, u see a dirty jungle which u would not want to see. Moreover bathroom lock was broken . No amenities except soap. No water heater.Tv was there but it does not show any good channel tv was just for a name sake.WIFI was the biggest issue as we were not getting internet connection during morning time things were not loading had to suffer a lot .but Blankets and towels were given but blankets were so small. This house looks more like a haunted house . My kids were so scared.moreover we couldn’t even sleep during night as bugs were coming and when we look at the ceiling it was full of spider webs. Will never recommend. Location is one of the worst thing as no shops were near. Had to struggle a lot

We would, however, like to clarify a few points for the benefit of future guests. The photographs on our listing show the actual room and property, and we have not used images from another location. The surrounding mountain and natural views can vary depending on the weather and season, as the property is located close to a forested area. Many of our previous guests have particularly enjoyed the peaceful natural setting and the views.
As the villa is surrounded by nature, it is possible for insects to occasionally enter the property. This is something we are always happy to address immediately when brought to our attention. Similarly, we regret that you experienced an issue with the bathroom lock and the Wi-Fi during your stay. These are certainly matters we would have preferred to have been informed about at the time so that our team could have assisted while you were here.
We provide thick blankets and towels for our guests, although we are sorry to hear that you found the blankets unsuitable for your needs. We also take cleanliness very seriously, and the comments regarding spider webs are concerning and will be reviewed with our housekeeping team.
Regarding the description of the property as a “haunted house,” we respect that every guest has a different perception and experience. However, this is the first time we have received such feedback, and it does not reflect the experience shared by the many guests who have enjoyed their stays with us.

Peaceful and welcoming stay in Hanthana
We really enjoyed our stay at Hanthana in Kandy. The hotel has such a calm and pleasant atmosphere, and everything was very clean and comfortable.
What made the stay especially nice was the people working there. Everyone was so friendly, kind, and helpful, and they made us feel genuinely welcome. The service was very thoughtful without being too much.
It was a lovely place to relax after exploring Kandy. Peaceful, clean, and with a very warm feeling overall. We would definitely recommend it and would be happy to stay there again.
