A home away from home, with the kindest host
Staying at Serenique House with my daughter was one of those rare experiences where a place stops feeling like accommodation and starts feeling like home. From the moment we arrived, our host welcomed us not as guests but as family. They are wonderful people, and that warmth extended to us — they looked after both of us with a genuine care you can't fake. The highlight was the food. The family cooked us incredible local dishes, and sharing those meals became the heart of our stay. My daughter still talks about it. There's something special about being welcomed into someone's home and their kitchen, and it turned an ordinary trip into memories we'll keep. If you're looking for a place with real heart — a host who makes you feel like you belong — Serenique House is it. We left feeling like we were saying goodbye to family, not checking out of a rental. Thank you for everything!

Felt like home
Sakun and his family and incredible people. Very welcoming very kind and the place is immaculate. He really made us feel like home the whole time we were there and we can’t wait to go back. If you’re looking for a quiet clean space that makes you feel like home this is it. They are very very accommodating and will help you with everything you need. A short stay in Hikkaduwa
The stay at Serenique Heaven was amazing!
As we arrived in Hikkaduwa before check in time Sukan let us keep our bags there, made us welcome drinks and was so accomodating from the beginning!
The place was clean, spacious, had good WiFi, and had such a nice feel. The outside area was so lovely also!
Sukan arranged airport transport for our friend that was staying with us and gave us information we needed to get to our next destination. Sukan and the Serenique Heaven family went above and beyond to make sure we were ok throughout our stay and got us anything we needed! Their hospitality and kindness is much appreciated and if we are ever back in Hikkaduwa we will definitely stay here again!

Great local experience in Hikka
Sakun and his family made this stay unforgettable. Quiet location, close to the beach, bus terminal, and station. I would definitely stay here when I visit Hikka again.

We had an amazing stay here. The place was spacious and clean. Rooms were big with pleanty of storage which was good for our extended stay. Shower was warm. Having access to a washing machine was such a bonus.
Location was great. A short walk to the beach with shops close by. Sakun as his family were great hosts, communication was quick and they were so friendly.
It was a great stay, we loved it would happily stay here again.
