Worst experience

We requested the best room available at the hotel, but unfortunately, the room provided was not what we expected. It appeared that we were given a personal room rather than a proper guest room. Since we arrived late with our baby, we had no practical option to change hotels at that time.
The hotel required an advance payment at the time of booking, which made it even more difficult to make alternative arrangements. At the very least, they should have informed us that their best rooms were no longer available when we made the booking.
Although the lady who handled the booking spoke to us very politely and appeared friendly, we felt that important information was not disclosed.
We were also disappointed by the condition of the room. The hot water was not working, and both the room and bathroom were not properly cleaned. There was an unused cupboard inside the room, and we found unused items stored under the bed, which made the room feel more like a storage area than suitable guest accommodation.
Overall, the room we received did not match our expectations based on the information provided during the booking process.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend booking a room at this hotel without viewing it in person first. Please do not pay an advance or confirm your reservation until you have personally inspected the room, as it may be very different from what you expect.

Charming family-run accommodation

We were welcomed directly very warmly. The room and bathroom were clean, there were enough blankets for the cooler night.
We ate curry in the evening (mild, for Europeans), which was incredibly delicious. For breakfast there were stringhoppers with many treats.
We also got sandwiches to go, because at 5 a.m. a trip was planned.
Recommended (simple) accommodation with charm!!!

Sublime view and excellent host

Great experience staying in a family gesthouse in the heart of the mountain with attentive hosts, I highly recommend it. Comfort level, bedding and largely adequate bus stop nearby for the more adventurous and a breathtaking view of the mountains

Perfect Homestay!!!

The family hosted me with great kindness, helpful advice, and delicious food. They home has spectacular views. I was only going to stay one night but ended up staying 3 because it was so relaxing and there was so much to see. The home is in a great spot close to an old monestary, Stupa, and great 7km hike through the jungle where you can hike without any tourists and see monkeys. The Diyaluma Falls are an easy bus ride away. Definitely recommend staying here!
