Lovely hotel & very central to nearby village with magnificent views.

Lovely resort with beautiful picturesque mountains to look at. My room had a balcony, which was an added bonus. Staff are very accommodating and helpful. Rooms are comfortable but basic (they have hairdryers in bathrooms & shower gets job done). No air conditioning; however, you can request a fan (if they have available). No kettle tray, again can be requested if available. Iron can be borrowed and returned at reception. Swimming pool was an adequate size, with a separate smaller pool for children. The jacuzzi was a good size and there seemed to be enough sunbeds. If dinner is included in your package, it is a buffet service and quite limited, although plenty of cheese and salad. Not much I found for children (i.e. no pizza or pasta). The hotel is very close to the village nearby where there are plenty of restaurants, bars and ice-cream places. It is also walking distance to the local bus stop. Overall, a lovely place to stay and the views from some balconies and the terrace are wonderful.

Enjoyable stay in a stunning location ️

Great Hotel in Kranjska Gora. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was plentiful every morning, and being able to use the pool at Hotel Kompass as well as Aqua Larix across the road was good too.

No Air-Conditioning - be warned! It was 32C and probably 28C in the room.
Also no tea/coffee facilities in the room .
We didn’t use the gym/pool but it looked good .
The room was clean and had a balcony but was really really hot.
The breakfast was adequate but a little chaotic with multiple tour groups. Hardly any fresh fruit or yoghurt - coffee tastes awful . Hot food was good

Really nice place. Great location. Very clean and very friendly staff. Amazing breakfast. There was so much to choose from.

Decent hotel with very good food

Ideally I'd rate this as a 4½ but having to go for a while number just came down on the side of 5. For a week's skiing it was warm, clean, comfortable, and the food was good. That last bit was most important for us, with a couple of vegetarians, one of whom is fussy about buffets, but there was always an option for them and overall the food was excellent. It wasn't relevant to us but they also indicated which items were gluten-free.
The rooms were pretty simple, other than the beds there was just a dressing table, drawers, and a single chair-bed (plus built-in hanging space) but the beds were comfortable.
The bathrooms were less good, they were basic and to us the decor was very dated. The shower enclosure door didn't move smoothly, and there was no plug in the sink. However there was plenty of hot water for the shower and the pressure was good.
The pool and jacuzzi were very nice, clean and good temperatures. It was a bit disappointing there was a charge for pool towels so we used our ones from the rooms.
The staff were all really pleasant, friendly and helpful.
