Good spot, good service, good food
We didn't stay here but we came twice for meals when we were staying at the beach club next door. The meals, service, atmosphere, and premises were all much nicer at Sinalei.

Very beautiful location. The shore immediately in front of they hotel has a very strong rip current making snorkeling less safe.

First time at Sinalei does not disappoint
First time Samoa resort experience was a winner. The relaxed vibe and genuine friendliness of staff were instantly apparent. Our stay started with a welcome drink and quick afternoon check in before being taken to our garden fale. Situated amongst tropical greenery, and a short stroll down to the perfect white sand beach. We felt relaxed the moment we arrived. We couldn't speak highly enough about the people at Sinalei. Many are from the local village Maninoa, and all were happy to offer a quick smile in passing, or a more formal Talofa, they just made our stay so easy. Our hospitality supervisor, Lanu deserves a special mention. She is great at remembering everybody's names, she never seems to slow down, and speaks with authority and kindness to all. She even stopped by our fale after her shift ended knowing we'd be leaving that night. Sinalei is the perfect place to unwind and our 6 nights was perfect for us and our small group of friends to escape the winter at home. Everyone did their own thing during the day, and we met each night for drinks and dinner in the over water restaurant. Their menu and drinks list was a mixed bag of local and imported, and prices were on par with restaurants at home. We were delighted with the grilled fresh long tail snapper and daily fish specials all locally caught. There is regular after dinner entertainment and the string band made up of some local lads playing all the sing along bangers, Samoan style was a highlight, as was the Fia fia cultural night of traditional food, dance and fire. Our friends have stayed at Sinalei four times, and we're so glad they recommended it to us. As they say at Sinalei, once you visit you're considered family!

A relaxing holiday with all the extras!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the sinalei reef resort. The staff were amazing and so helpful. A special shout out to Betty and Sene at reception and glory (I think) on waitressing. We also loved the waitor that sang live in the restaurant sometimes it was so special. The room ( ocean view) was amazing with lots of space. The ladies at the spa gave amazing massages too. We feel so relaxed after our stay. The FIA FIA night is a must and the south east tour was a lot of fun( if you like swimming this is for you!) Patrick did an awesome job showing us around. One improvement would be to play more island style music in the restaurant and bars. Fa'fetai!! Thankyou!

Avoid this resort. It is completely overpriced for what you get.
Our experience started badly before we even arrived. We had prepaid for the airport pick up and drop off service, but nobody came to collect us. We had no choice but to pay for a taxi to the resort on top of the transfer we had already paid for. When we arrived, the receptionist acknowledged the mistake and told us the taxi cost would be refunded or credited to our account. At check out, the resort refused to honour this commitment. The only response we received was, “Sorry about that.” It was disappointing, unprofessional, and showed little regard for customer service.
The rooms are old and in desperate need of refurbishment. The furniture was stained, the bed linen looked worn and marked, and the overall standard of cleanliness and maintenance was poor.
The staff seemed disengaged and showed little interest in providing good service. Simple requests felt like an inconvenience.
The so called continental breakfast was one of the worst I have seen. There were only a couple of fruit options, a few cakes, and not enough bread for all the guests. People were waiting and competing for toast because food was not replenished properly. It was chaotic and disappointing.
For the price charged, the experience fell well below expectations. There are far better places to stay in Samoa for the same money. I would not return and would not recommend this resort.

Regarding your airport transfer, your arrival transfer was arranged based on the original flight details provided with your booking. We received your advice of the flight delay shortly after midnight, with the updated arrival time being 7:30am that same morning. Unfortunately, this notification was received outside our reservations and operations hours, and the updated information was not seen in time to adjust the transfer arrangements. We apologise for the inconvenience this caused.
I would also like to clarify that, as part of our five-night stay package, guests receive a bonus 50% discount on a return airport transfer. This is a package inclusion and is not calculated as separate one-way transfers, as transport arrangements are confirmed and scheduled in advance based on the flight details provided.
We are sorry to read your comments regarding your room, breakfast and service. Our guest rooms are inspected daily by both housekeeping supervisors and management, and no concerns were raised with our team during your stay. Similarly, our breakfast service is monitored throughout the morning to ensure items are replenished and guests are well looked after. Had any concerns been brought to our attention, we would have welcomed the opportunity to address them immediately.
