Hard to beat the Norway beef & ale pie!

Very enjoyable Meal. The steak and ale pie served with creamy mash and seasonal vegetables was delicious. It was probably one of the tastiest pies I have ever had. Deep dish with lots of chunks of beef and carrots in a rich gravy with a crusty top. Just perfect!

Over-priced. Disappointing.

A bit of a mixed bag but, overall, disappointing.
Check-in was friendly & efficient & we were shown to a lovely room. It overlooked a noisy road but we did have a good night's sleep. It could do with fresh paint here & there & the curtains were ripped along one edge, but overall not too bad.
It was the food that was disappointing & service at breakfast was very poor. Ok, we ate on a Sunday night, but menu choice was poor. I had soup of the day, tomato & Rosemary. Tasty enough but way too thick. The sliced bread was dry, as if it had been sitting next to a cooker, & the butter was served in a hot dish so was practically liquid! The waitress happily brought me some fresh butter, this time rock hard so it couldn't be spread! Husband had a burger, very mundane.
Breakfast - well, we felt a real nuisance. Just juice & cereals on the counter. No milk - had to ask for that. No fruit, yogurt, etc. The lad serving didnt even ask for our order, we asked him if we could order! My toast came with the melted butter, once again, so asked for it to be changed, again. Husband ordered bacon, sausage & eggs. It arrived in a bap which was NOT what he wanted or ordered. The lad said, "You can just take it out of the bun" Has anyone here been trained in hospitality?

Hidden gem in plain sight!

Called in on the off chance for some breakfast after a long drive. Greeted by two lovely staff who promptly sat me at a table by the window. Pub is very clean, nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff. Ordered a Norway Full, and it was delicious! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hearty breakfast with the most accommodating, polite staff. Will be back!

Norway breakfast

Annabelle and Lalliann served us today, both cheery and polite thank you ladies.
We were seated straight away and asked if we'd like drinks. Two delicious lattes arrived promptly. Due to one of us needing a specific change to food options staff were very accommodating. Scrambled eggs on brown toast and a full Norway breakfast were cooked perfectly. The ingredients used were great quality.
Great breakfast experience. Well done team.
Will come again.

Thank you. A lovely room.
Disappointed that on arrival kitchen was closed and the best advice for food was the petrol station.
Breakfast was nice- staff appeared distracted.
Great room - service lacked a Cornish welcome.
